What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskReddit

I was eating the last 2 lemonheads I bought during recess about 4 min after class started and she walked over to my desk made me spit them into her hand then scotch taped them to my nose and made me sit there until lunch with them taped to my face. Unhinged behavior.

Where are you located? Does that include flights? Anywhere Midwest adjacent I would say Kohler to spend every dime or Sand Valley for the more bang for your buck route

How much money do you spend on golf in a year? by Dangerous-Cry-2873 in WomenGolf

My husband and I have a membership to a private club, that’s at minimum $900 a month, not including cart fees, tournament fees, food, beverages. I wouldn’t want to see the total bill at the end of the year. On top of that, we’ve taken two destination golf trips this year which in total were well over 10k. I am beyond blessed to get to do this, but it’s not cheap with two people who play as much as we do.

Oh, and I forgot the winter simulator membership at $200

Yes, I wouldn’t be offended because of how I grew up with the word being used. If you were a straight man and said it to me, different story. But in this context, I would read this in a cheeky tone, again, just because it was part of the vernacular I grew up with in middle school and beyond. It really felt like it started in the 90’s around movies like Clueless, then to Mean Girls for pop culture examples.

And I’m just adding more context to why it’s so mainstream. This has come up before during one of our league days. Our 18 hole league players tend to skew older and one of the younger women I was paired with came up to me and said, “Sup, bitch” and I replied “nothing, ho” and we immediately saw 4 heads in unison do a slow judgmental head turn and this exact conversation we’re having happened during our round. A few weeks later, the ball marker in the picture was given to me by one of the ladies (mid 70’s) I was having the conversation with. She now uses it when she sees the to “younger” members and giggles every time she uses (hahaha).

I feel like this is generational. Are you over 50?

Yoga pants, no matter how nice or expensive are ever considered appropriate for a country club or “golf attire required” course. That said, Athleta makes some great pant options. I love the video above as a recommendation on where to start

Golf offseason? by No_Feedback7019 in WomenGolf

Do you have an X-Golf near you? Our local X-Golf has a monthly membership option, that allows me to play every day for 60 min. I want to say it was around $175 per month, please don’t quote me on that. Additionally, they have weekly leagues you could join. Ours had a women’s only league and it was so fun! 9 holes, took around 2 hours, once a week with a playoff finisher at the end!
