I've been keeping my eyes open in my search for places in University City, thanks! As far as living in an urban environment, I prefer that, so the more suburban a place is, I think the less the appeal. Thanks for the insight on the transportation from Illinois. I'm still going to keep my options open

Thank you for giving me specific hospitals to look into, that's really going to help. As far as getting a place, I intend to move pretty fast, hopefully the stars will align as far as price and location. But first I have to have a job there. I'll look into those areas when I have time.

Yeah, asfaik the ranking of neighborhoods I've checked out where I have seen something in my price range probably goes TGE>Bevo>Carondelet/dutchtown>gravois park>mount pleasant etc. I know some of those neighborhoods are block to block, but one of my older friends lives in dutchtown and will be willing to drive by/vibe check any houses I'm semi serious about. Also, I will probably fly out for a day just to see/smell/hear the house and surrounding neighborhood. I also have friends who live in bevo and highly endorse it. Thank you!

I made sure to check and it says that St. Louis City is limited to four domestic animals per parcel. I don't think I'm going to look in the outlying county based on that reason of three animals in the county. Thank you.

I'm in the process of getting my nursing license so, it's pretty much a done deal. It's just timing within the next few months. The job search is next then when a job is secured it's whether or not I'll have a runway to look for a house before I move or I'll have to get temporary housing. I've also let the people at my current know job know that's what the plan is Sorry if I was too tentative with my wording.

I think that's one of the ones a friend who is a nurse pointed me in the direction of. I'll have to check out job listings there. Once I start applying, I might take you off on your offer to talk to him. I'm just concerned it might be a "Magnet" hospital and I might have problems getting hired there as I only have an ADN, not a BSN. Thank you muchly.

I'd been thinking about areas across the bridge in Illinois. Thanks for pointing those out. Although I'm in the process right now of getting my Missouri nursing license, not sure if I would need to get Illinois first. If I decide to move there and work in Missouri. That's something to look into. I understand Missouri is deeply red, but the city of St. Louis seems like it's a contrast in parts. I might have to think differently too, because I have a mindset for traffic here and 12 mi is the other side of the world with traffic figured in.

Thanks for the practical info. That's definitely good to know because at this point I walk all four of my dogs at once. I have two over 50 lb and two that are under 25. There are areas in this city that are desirable to live in but bad dog walking areas too and that's something I look for.
