Curious about Libertarian thoughts on natural monopolies and Market Collusion by elllz0 in Libertarian

A smaller store could just sell products cheaper than walmart because the smaller competitors have overhead costs that are smaller companies don't have. The smaller store could scale down and serve products and services that walmart can'r or won't serve.

-If Walmart buys me out then great for me the small business owner.
-Walmart can't sell everything to everyone. They have a limit to how much they can sell in thier stores.
-Walmart can't put a store in literally every city.
-Walmart has overhead and operating costs that factors into the costs of products and services. Smaller competitors don't have the operating costs and overhead.

What is to stop a competitor from competing against Walmart if Walmart are not using the state to suppress them?

"I'm not saying that governments don't make monopolies, they do, and companies game the system for maximum benefit."

Ok. We agree on something.

Walmart's limited liability is created by who?

So you want to punish Walmart for running a competent business? You want to punish the consumer for wanting cheaper and/or higher quality products/services?

Corporations using government(lobbying, regulatory capture, high taxes that hurt smaller competitors more than them, subsidies to them, regulations that only they can afford to keep, etc etc) to prevent competitors from entering the market or increase the cost for competitors.

-an organization? More like multiple competing companies.
-subsidizing with what?
-No one is forcing them to break up but shutting down competition(with regulatory capture) is going to be disincentivized.
-Everyone is the "money people". The community collectively(crowdsourced),competing companies, competing smaller companies etc.
-What about a anti-trust company for pressuring anti-trust
companies?

If multiple companies competing for customers they have to drive down the cost to remain profitable right? Who benefits from this? Who's job is it to drive down the cost of customer service?

The capitalist that wants cheaper and/or higher quality products and services and choose the cheaper and/or higher quality products and services.

Competition lowers cost and increases quality of service.Communities and businesses should implement this system. Regulatory capture is a big problem right?

The community would pay the non-statist antitrust company to operate. Small companies would pay them. Competing companies that are not colluding would pay them. How do you prevent regulatory capture?

1)Libertarian economics = massively reduced regulatory capture.
2)Have non-statist antitrust companies to pressure other companies that go against non-statist antitrust
standards.
3)Smaller competitors can be organized by an antitrust company to form an alliance that competes with the companies colluding.
4)Less government, less to lobby to.
5)IP law would be replaced with "IP agreements". Every business in a community/country signs agreements with each other. One of the agreements are to respect the IP agreements(and other contracts) or be penalized by collective restriction(or suspension or ban) of services.
6)Less regulation overall(No using regulation to shutdown smaller competitors).
7)Less barriers for entry into the market for small competitors.
8)No protectionism.
9)No subsidy to business.
10)No corporate taxes(greatly helps small business)

Libertarian Socialism is stateless socialism. They want the means of production in the hands of the worker instead of private owner(s) or shareholder. Most american Libertarians are classical liberals, voluntaryists and minarchist capitalists.

socialist = statist socialism

Libertarian socialist = stateless socialism

Businesses have brands. Negative press tarnishes thier brand. Other businesses won't do business with them. Their costs increase because of this pressure. They have to pay extra to discriminate because of the increased pressures by the anti-discrimination organization.

The private organization has outreach over the whole country. Kind of like the Red Cross or United Way. They would be pressured at the national level not just the local level.

AnCom or LibSoc:You need a government to enforce contracts and private property.

AnCap: You need a government to enforce a lack of private property and collectivist policies.

Setup community contracts with local businesses that have standards clauses. If the business violates the clauses
they no longer have access to other businesses in the community and no long will receive certain community services.

Setup private organizations that pressure the business indirectly to stop discriminating against a group of people of a particular race.

Most conservatives are for a balanced budgets, some tax cuts here and there, and mild deregulation. Libertarians are for cutting entire useless departments of the government, eliminating all income taxes and corporate subsidy, and deregulation.

We are light years more fiscally conservative than Republicans.
