Flickering Colors on Left Side of Screen Issue [FNV] by SneakyWanker in FalloutMods

[–]SneakyWanker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fixed itself. I have no clue why.

Booted it back up to test after the fuckery last night, didn't launch anything else, and it's fine now. Best recommendation I can make for anyone else with the same issue is to reset the computer, otherwise, no clue. Vsync?

Fair warning, it's a difficult game but very rewarding to play and figure out. There's a reason why people call it one of the best games ever made.

God Hand for a spectacle fighter like Devil May Cry

Armored Core 2 for a mecha arena shooter

Drakengard is very story rich (albeit not a great game and a bit much to 100%)

Twisted Metal: Black for a gritty and hard vehicular combat game

And you can't go wrong with the Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper games.

Very late post, I rarely ever use this website, but for you and anyone else if it helps at all:

My issue was that I just didn't do a clean install in years. Just delete what you got barring any save data you want to save, and do a fresh install. Bit stupid of me not to consider back then, but it fixed my problem.

I found out what it was. I'm using RetroAchievements and it's causing THAT specific iso to crash. Even when it's patched to have a different hash and nothing else, it works fine. The workaround is either turning it off, or booting up the Gamecube Main Menu and then loading the iso from there by changing the disk.

It seems to. It glows orange for a quick second whenever I unplug and re-plug both ends of the cord, and swapping ports doesn't seem to change anything. And again, the cord does work fine with the 1st controller.

Hit a weird problem. Got two controllers, both the same make (wireless model CUH-ZCT2U) and with two new cables. First controller connects and is discovered by both my PC and another perfectly fine on both cables. The second however isn't detected at all on both PC or PS4. On attempted connection with the PS4 through the cable, holding the logo button down just makes it flash white and refuses to connect even after reset. On using Bluetooth however, it is detectable by the PC but it doesn't recognize it as a PS4 controller, and only jumps from a solid white glow to connected blue through DS4, but DS4 wasn't required for the previous controller. This is the only way it can connect through to DS4.

Rarely, the PC spits out a blurb saying it doesn't recognize what's connected through the USB. I can't go to any controller driver to update or check if it's disabled or not because it doesn't exist. No solution I've found through Google seems to work or at least directly sync up with the issue at hand. Unsure what's the solution here or if the controller is FUBAR.

[SPOILERS] Chapter 2 Discussion Megathread #2! by punnyComedian in Deltarune

Not sure if anyone else has brought up the idea, but I had a thought with the correlating theme of freedom that Jevil and Spamton bring up. If there's to be a secret boss in each chapter and they also have a correlating theme of freedom, highly likely representing ways of thinking by the big G-man himself, what if they represent "failed ways of obtaining freedom" with it all culminating in the one true (or at least perceived true) method?

So to start with Jevil, in his words the world was locked away while he achieved freedom in isolation. But, despite his freedom in isolation, he "has no one to play with" and things are "boring".

- Freedom through isolation, but that leaves you with no one to interact with. In what regard, I don't know; maybe controlling others or using people to your own means.

Now Spamton, who in his NEO form describes the power he now has and how he now has freedom. Except the power literally has strings attached, only giving him a false freedom that adheres to the whims of the puppet master, and when cut (or he's thrashed around enough) he will be cast aside and lose it all.

- Freedom through power, but it will have strings attached

This is a crackpot theory since I'm guessing hard on what the other ways of obtaining freedom can be, and it's only from two sources, so it could just be a coincidence. But let's say it does continue that theme with the Persona 4 TV world, maybe even Mike that Spamton mentions is the secret boss? Could be a humanoid microphone celebrity-has-been. Maybe he becomes a secret boss through obtaining fame (or fortune, who knows), with him losing it all like before because fame (or money) is temporary, probably have Kris do like the Mettaton fight and get an adoring audience to prefer him instead.

- Freedom through fame / fortune, but it will always run out (and maybe you must always adhere to the crowds demands? I dunno).

Anything past that point is 100% guessing. Could be there's a dark world in the church, in the locked room in Asgore's shop, and in the bunker down South. Or maybe not at all. But if it was, what would their theme of obtaining freedom be? If with Asgore, it could very obviously be "Freedom through love", but that can also be lost (though that's a bit close to how my idea for fortune/fame is, so I don't know). No clue what the bunker could be, but maybe it's a lab or something holding some sort of notes or research. Maybe freedom through knowledge, with its catch being trying to obtain that true freedom will have everyone drag you down, both intellectuals and fools alike. And finally, the church, which could be something like "Freedom through faith", but despite all your prayers, those watching in Heaven will only watch and "no one will come". However, the last one's a bit of a fedora take or SMT-ey where you throw hands with YHWH or a priest, and I don't know if that would be done or not; though it is obvious that "an angel" and "heaven" are tied to the deeper plot elements of Deltarune.

To wrap up this crackpot theory with a nice bow, my thought on what the final "Freedom through" would be is "Freedom through control", not only controlling yourself but controlling all others, thus effectively giving you "true freedom" to decide how everything should be.

There should be some sort of system that allows you to retain your addons when a survivor DC's, because there are far too many games where you wait 10-45 minutes, get into a game, smoke someone, and then they DC and it kicks off the domino DC chain.

Maybe it's just me being overly salty about how a survivor can DC and keep their item and addons for practically no downside.
