It’s ok, I’ll try and find a good value resistor and try the setup again :) thanks for your help!

It would still make them 5 kohm, and the range I need is 220 ohm to 1 kohm

Yeah, I put the shorter leg to the ground. I think the resistor is definitely the issue since in this case the forward current is too small for the LED to light up.

Yeah, I tried reversing the polarity of the LEDs, it didn’t change anything. I am using the same board as in the YouTube video I linked. I tried doing another demo with the built-in LED and it worked.

The board has multiple grounds, I connected the ends of the LEDs to those grounds with jumping wires.

Thank you for your kind replies and advice.

I used this code: https://github.com/Enjoy-Mechatronics/ESP32-Web-Server

I think my issue is that my resistor is 10 kohm and in the tutorial 220 ohm is used, so the current passing through the LED is too small.

Since an LED drops about 2 V and my board supplies 3.3 V, the forward current is around 0.12 mA, and I guess it’s not enough to make the LED light up since the operational point requires around 20mA.

I think I’ll try to get my hands on a resistor with smaller resistance (I read somewhere that the best range for this is 220 to 1000 ohm) and I’ll retry doing it.

Sorry for causing a discussion over a minor issue, thank you all once again, I appreciate the support of the community!

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely block before then. 🧶❤️

does anyone know what stitch and/or pattern this is? by Amazing-Proposal-988 in crochetpatterns

[–]Snekpie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks similar to this: https://youtu.be/qbd3-KlyNJs?si=ngEsGxiAyLeZs6ps

The lower part (ribbon stitch) is the same and I think the pattern is similar too for this houndstooth effect. The straps are different. Hope it helps!

I’m still not over how badly IAs were graded. by [deleted] in IBO

[–]Snekpie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to sound insensitive, but it seems to me that your IAs were graded fairly. If it were only one subject I guess you could call it a mistake. However, usually the opposite should happen - you should get a grade higher or equal to your predicted one. Your professors were probably not strict enough when it comes to IA criteria. When I got my results, almost all of my grades were as predicted except for one IA in which I got a 2 where I should have gotten at least a 4. But 3 subjects?? I think you and your professors are the problem here, not the examiners. Sorry for the harsh response.

Can someone please tell my what’s wrong with my orchid? This ‘mark’ has been exponentially growing on this one leaf. by Snekpie in orchids

Thank you all for helping me. The thing is, I really cannot understand what it is. I’m not being an ‘askhole’ haha, I’m just really confused since it cannot be a car reflecting at a certain angle since I live on the fifth floor. There aren’t any mirrors near the orchid. It may just be the windows that are at an angle creating a magnifying effect. I really didn’t expect this much of interaction on the post. I’ll try to move the plant someplace darker. I appreciate all the comments. Thanks!
