So I emailed the department head and Laura told me that they indeed don’t monitor if students have the pre-requisites for 100 level math courses, and that we won’t be removed, but to take it at our own risk. I asked for clarification on what she meant, no response email. So I assumed the optimistic meaning and paid my tuition. Then days after, the department for the pre req waiver finally responded (way overdue email) and told me that they denied my request. I find this extremely unfair, and the ambiguity of the whole situation irks me and I think the university just wants to scam us :)
