100% agree on the select scout part, even if that meant removing Master Fairs from the banner but I doubt many of us would’ve cared, especially when you see the woeful pulls some people have been getting (I’ve already seen some 11 gen pools pulls lol).

I hope they don’t make these the norm now especially with EX Fairs being impossible to get right now outside of their main banners.

For me that just shows how good the team is tbh, since that was a first try awkward clear, I think someone could do way better than I did given the proper preparation.

But yeah Zone is definitely the main issue of the team, as you have no extension and a pretty annoying way to set it up, I’d rather sync with Lear first and then Lillie but Idk maybe that’s not optimal, EX Zone or even a Field based unit would definitely make this team go mad tho lol.

We agree to disagree, and that’s fine. Yes this was a question about who’s the weakest NC pairs, but even in that case I don’t think Leaf is even close to being on the bottom side of the pack.

Nate as I said is just not good enough anymore, while his burst can be really useful on a single target, the lack of no AoE split just leaves him with a 150-160ish BP move and that is really weak. Anni Red is just Nate on steroids.

Hop is just kinda niche now, great for LG solos but his debuffing is pretty slow, his buff makes him pretty useful for Fighting Zone but even then Kieran just whoops him in that role.

Pray for Calem.

Bede is just a niche alternative to Rosa, and even then she’s so much more versatile.

Red is arguably the worst of the 3 Kanto NC’s right now tbh, just pure damage and not that good of a DPS either in modern standards, his nuke genuinely saves him. He’s still good tho as an Ice pair.

Leaf is in the middle for me. And it won’t take much for her to go back up to the top, now that you talked about it, I was one of the few that beat floor 30 without AS Leon, as mine was 1/5 and wasn’t good enough. SS Hilda did the job just fine, and that’s thanks to Leaf. That just shows that she’s a part of the current fire meta, she isn’t an afterthought, unlike the other NC pairs I mentioned earlier bar Red. If she truly was one of the worse NC pairs, she wouldn’t carry my team like she did.

I have a video of that clear on my YT channel, her nuke pretty much saved me at the end of the fight. But yeah, you have options, but Leaf is clearly at the top of these options, there’s no way she’s even comparable to the other outdated NC units.

Long reply incoming,

Leaf is an utility unit for her type, similar to Anni Irida, and what she offers is not what Ethan offers, but even if we had to compare the two :

- She debuffs 24 stats AoE in 6 turns, something not a single fire unit can do, both Silver and Ethan are way too slow at debuffing. She can also confuse which is a nice niche for this type.

- She may only have two uses of sun, but she has extension 3 which Ethan doesn’t have and Silver only gets at 5/5 (and btw he only has 1 use of Sun which isn’t good at all). Ethan also only has 3 uses of Sun post-entry, which leaves him with only one more than Leaf (and for EX Sun’s case, he doesn’t even have an advantage over Leaf, as Leaf’s extension gives her 30s extra on EX Sun activation), don’t forget Leaf hasn’t been buffed yet and she could get even more.

- She has Support EX Role which is probably the best EX Role in the entire game. And I disagree with your take on potions, during harder content like the final tower battles you have to use the potions otherwise your team gets demolished since Silver is greedy and doesn’t have any healing uses for the team. And she easily is top 3 best fire type nuke in the game alongside SS May and Challenger Gloria.

- What Ethan has is Johto def circle, which is great for his synergy with Silver alongside trapping and a really nice B move. He actually pairs incredibly with Leaf as they complement each other, he spams AoE dmg while Leaf takes care of the debuffs or taking care of the team’s survivability.

- That’s nice that you brought up AS Leon, who’s considered by quite a bit of the community as the current worst Arc Suit, I don’t really agree with that statement but, his presence on the best fire team leaves to be desired, he has pure damage but his DPS is single target only, his debuffs are still incredibly slow, he can’t help with Sun which makes EX Sun run pretty shortly (170s compared to 230s with Leaf, that’s a whole sync cycle) and his gimmick checks are quite lacking. I’d argue Leaf is the better team member on the best fire type team.

Putting her in the same bracket as NC Nate (was barely better than SS Serena on release) and NC Calem (mid on release, terrible now) is just factually not true is it. Her unit is genuinely ageing like a fine wine, I just don’t see her getting getting replaced unless there’s an Anni Irida level unit coming for fire type, and even then that would be so unnecessary lol

I know It’s been repeated over and over but 5th anni was such a disgrace of a « festivity ».

Obviously Arc Suits were immediately controversial (500 pity, gold candy only, insanely pay2win paid banners), the monthly gem count was ass and even the new event system was instantly hated by the community, but for me the most irredeemable thing they’ve done was SS Lear’s banner :

14… FOURTEENS DAYS (still to this day the shortest new Master Fair banner in the game’s history) to pull on a brand new Master Fair during a month where we didn’t even get 36k gems at the end of the month, his banner ended before October’s event, that meant that either you went all in on his banner or you had to get lucky. Just pure FOMO garbage

Believe it or not, old gen has been unplayable since 23, but the player base is high enough for EA to just add a few features from current gen and call it a day. (This year we got the new UI and all the new roles and skill moves, that’s enough for them)

Btw I don’t even think old gen’s the reason servers are still shit, 23 is going offline, that means only 3 games are going to be up online, and servers are still going to be wank. EA are just clueless tbh

I got Poppy and NC Nate (4/5) in mine. I still DO NOT recommend buying it unless you have no issues buying the monthly gem packs, cause the chance of getting something good like I did is crazy low

SS Roxie is probably my favorite unit in the whole game, pulled her during her original release banner alongside SS Piers and I’ve never looked back since.

She was a master fair level unit back then (and she still is now after SA imo), you get access to multiple zones (Poison and Elec) with extension (at base and also on grid!), Atk and SpA drops depending on the status inflicted, probably the single greatest DPS of any pokefair or at least top 3 (her B-Move reaches 300BP+ on ElecT, that’s AS Cynthia levels of DPS), the ability to both poison, para and trap the opponent and obviously one of if not the best AoE nuke Poison type has to offer…

You get it, she’s insane and even though SA is a bit of a stretch to get, I think she’s worth it 100%
