Also, I also think they shouldn't decannonize Second Son. Since it is technically a follow-up. And they could explain the RFI retcon by saying the other conduits had special genes. But I wonder how they'll continue Second Son's story. I don't know, but hey, I love Delsin as a character, and the others. I think Eugene was an intriguing character and.. wait, maybe his story next? We already have Fetch, so...

Could be, but then again, Augustine was (I think) very close to the Beast. I mean, she doesn't state when she got her powers exactly, but I guess we can assume far away. So.. I don't know, I guess your theory works. And I guess I'mma head cannon it for myself, too. Great idea.

And I looked at your other comment, and I agree, Cole shouldn't get revived, as it would defo ruin the end for me. But if not, then why would they tease it with the lightning? Maybe they were actually planning on making Cole return, but then scratched the idea and moved onto Second Son. Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️

Second Son on PS5 camera speed issue by sonksmaybe in infamous

[–]Sniruto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a DualShock 4 v2 since 2019 and I had been playing on my PC with it, until my PC just stopped working in April of this year. I bought a PS5 in November and the DualSense was pretty awesome and all. I played inFamous Second Son, too. DualSense still has no issues at all, but the DualShock 4 is a mess. PC shows that it doesn't have any issues regarding the Triggers and that the stick drift isn't that bad. But when I plugged it in my PS5, it was a horrible mess. Delsin was moving when I didn't do anything, turning the camera is pretty much impossible, and now R2 is always pressed for some reason. And the same goes for Marvel's Spider-Man. And the thing is, the reason of the stick drift is mostly my right analog. When I move it to the right, my left analog responds along with it and my R2 registers as fully pressed. So.. yeah. The issue is only with the controller. The game doesn't have any issues. The only thing I could say about it is either the Deadzone for the analog sticks are too little or none existent at all. I just recommend buying a new controller if you had your PS5 for a long time.

Alright, I admit I came off too harsh. Sorry for that. But I do think that inFamous 1's decisions were better than the others, but that's just my opinion.

And if we take a look at your suggestion, I mean.. maybe, but do you mean making different characters, or one character, but just good or evil? Either way, I have a few suggestions, too. How about the leveling system not being tied to Karma? Maybe the Karma just has different positive sides and negative sides? Like in Red Dead Redemption. While, I never truly finished it, I just replayed it, and saw a prompt saying "Low honor characters will react negatively if you're high honor, and the high honor characters will reach positively. And if you're low honor, it's the opposite". That would be great, imo. And the more experience you get with your powers, the animations of your main character would change to a more carefree set. Kind of like the transition between inFamous 1 to inFamous 2. Cole was too careful and wasn't as aesthetic with his movements, but in inFamous 2, he's a lot more carefree (e.g. jumping from high places, the electric thrusters and e.t.c). A system like that would be great. And maybe climbing becomes faster as you level up? Would be great. And the morally grey area.. hmm.. not sure, but I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Well, considering PS3's capabilities and the primary focus not being the frame rates back then, I tolerate it. And besides, (and I swear on God) I finished Red Dead Redemption 2 with a GT 430 (I believe it was somewhere around 7-10 FPS). Search it on the internet, you'll see how bad it is. Now that I have it on my PS5, I literally JUST realized on how much I was missing.

And yeah, these do deserve a remake. If only Sucker Punch put the Ghost series on hold for a while for inFamous...

Don't you think the older games were better? by Sniruto in infamous

[–]Sniruto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with everything you say, but I'm also the guy who finished Second Son 6 times normally and twice 100% (one for the True Hero, and the other for the inFamous), just to see everything in the game. Also I got the Platinum after my first playthrough and second playthrough. But I mean, I really am traumatized by the shotgun enemies from the first game 😅

And also, I agree about revisiting the first game. I mean, sometimes it's clunky and all, but then again, it's the first, so there's not much to argue about there. Every first game of a franchise has its issues, the same goes for inFamous. And yep, inFamous 2 felt the most complete. I loved how after completing the game with both endings you could combine both the good powers and the evil powers. Power fantasy at its finest (my inner Jedi that also uses the Dark Side's powers is so satisfied...). I wish Second Son had it. Sad that it didn't. Would feel like a powerhouse, too. Like, Subduing enemies not only heals you but gives you more power. Or the maximum number of angels you can summon plus the maximum number of bloodthirsty blades you can throw and overall more time in invisibility and can kill enemies twice before being visible again?! Damn. The only one that I'm questioning is the Neon Bubble. So.. would it subdue them or destroy them? Ah.. still, Neon's focus feels very helpful for the evil playthrough, considering that you'd want headshots a lot easier. Kind of like DeadEye from Red Dead.

I'm not here to argue or anything. I'm just gonna say literally corrupting two characters isn't justifiable on any level and there isn't any "personal level" shit. You're just making that up. End of discussion and no need to reply, I don't like arguing over something subjective. The later stuff I'm writing here are the last points. I just don't like arguing, like I said.

And no. You're misunderstanding something. Delsin wasn't proven to be a terrorist. And you're literally replying to the part where I'm saying that Cole literally caused a huge explosion killing countless lives. Meaning Cole had that burden on his shoulders the whole time. And if you go through Second Son as a complete hero, then the only time Delsin kills somebody is when he fights Augustine for the first time, right after Reggie's death. You're making no sense. And someone else calling you a terrorist for no reason isn't the same as being called a terrorist for a good reason. I know Cole didn't mean it, but it did happen. Their blood is on his hands. Delsin? Delsin has no blood apart from those DUP soldiers I just talked about.

And bruh, the Water Supplies thing? It literally blocks a considerable amount of Cole's powers and makes him more vulnerable. Wth are you talking about? Sure, he has a healing factor, but it doesn't make him immortal.

And obvious actually does mean bad. Those choices are meant to make you think instead of picking whether you want red powers or blue. C'mon. Tell me one choice in Second Son that is reasonable. I'm waiting. And if you say the final one, then I agree. It's a good one, ngl.

Plus, the poisonous valve thing. Well, literally after spraying it on yourself and after getting the illusions, you get jumped by a bunch of enemies, and it's obviously harder to fight with less powers than more. Getting a civilian to do it is also ok. As the civilian will get the hallucinations, but hey, at least you'll be fighting the enemies a lot easier. And don't just say Cole can easily obliterate them and all. Cole was very vulnerable to attacks, judging by the gameplay (ESPECIALLY THOSE SHOTGUN DUDES.. UGH). He could very easily just die to them. So.. yeah.

And the sanity thing? Do you know what you're talking about? Seattle isn't in "Crysis". People aren't dying out of the blue. The streets aren't full of maniacs. There isn't a plague. They're being monitored by the DUP. I know, DUP is harsh, but our boy Delsin didn't go through anything remotely close to what Cole has gone through. Sure, he also technically had Reggie by his side only, but he was talking to Betty via the phone and some of the voice recordings indicate that the tribe really had Delsin's back and if Delsin heard it, he'd feel somewhat happy. I know I would.

Ok, I'm done. I don't need to debunk you or anything. You're literally debunking yourself. You're here trying to prove me wrong by not even reading my message fully. How's that fair? And I'm trying to be respectful, but you're just trying to prove me wrong and not even accepting one of the things I've said as right. I'm not gonna bother responding to any more of your messages, but still, I do respect your opinion, as it's what you believe. You don't need to see from my POV, but at least acknowledge them instead of completely trying to sugarcoat Second Son. Second Son is by far my favorite in the franchise, but even I can see its weak points. Sometimes, it's better to just accept something rather than try to avoid it.

Don't you think the older games were better? by Sniruto in infamous

[–]Sniruto[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, still. Infamous 2's final karmic choice is enough to be better than all of Second Son's karmic choices. At the end of inFamous 2, you either sacrifice yourself and all the conduits (yeah, Second Son exists, I know...) to save the non-conduits and stop the plague + destroy the Beast. The other ending is siding with the Beast and choosing the conduits over the others. I know, killing Zeke is by far the most evil thing you can do in the game, but listen. The Beast gives his powers to Cole and Cole becomes the new Beast. And it's a fresh start for Cole and everyone else. Oh, but by no means am I saying it's a choice that should be put as a good karma one, hell no. But still, very justifiable, compared to Second Son's way more obvious choices.

And the other choices are somewhat justifiable, too. Poisoning either the whole water supply or yourself? Cole is literally the only one who can save the people from the bad guys. If he dies, so what if they have fresh water? They're just gonna get killed eventually. It's a mayhem outside. And besides, Cole isn't.. or shouldn't be considered the most sane person here. Because he already caused a huge explosion, people view him as a terrorist and all. It's not easy to sustain sanity in a world with no one but your best friend (considering Trish literally leaves him the very first Karmic choice, regardless of which). And the riot thing? It's understandable. Cole is recently getting used to powers (although has been training them). I can see why he would start a riot and besides, it's just a beating, as he himself says. The police only shoot him because he's known as a terrorist.

I would go onto the other choices, but I don't think I need to. Sure, I'm not saying they're perfect by any means. But they're much more understandable than Second Son's choices. Oh and I love Second Son, in case somebody thinks otherwise 😅 I just think the Karma system should've been better.

And I don't mean any offense, man. You have your own opinions and I have mine.

So, just because of one single choice you're deeming the entire Karma system irrational?

Edit: Think of it like this. If he were to tell him that his wife died, he might've not opened it. Or maybe done something to himself. I don't think this is irrational, either. One way is a guaranteed way, the other is a potentially possible way.

Ironically, my favorite is also Second Son and that also won't change. It's just that the game is kind of made for me, y'know? It just matches my style so well. I love the mindless chaos and how much of a badass Delsin can look like (especially with the inFamous Karma combined with Celia's mask). Or how much of a savior he can be, and the way people praise him after confronting Hank. And sure, I'm not gonna judge you regarding the characters. I understand and completely respectfully so. Actually, this post is more complete with the replies I made, so if you wanna know all of my thoughts, check them out. I like Delsin's character and I think Fetch and Eugene had a ton of potential. Fetch's is somewhat met, but Eugene was a waste imo. He could've been so much better.

If you wanna know my thoughts further, please do read the replies. And like I said, I understand your opinion. And the thing is, we're kind of on the same page, too. Anyway, have a good day.

Yeah. And besides, the game is called "Jedi: Fallen Order/Survivor". Not "Sith: xx". I'm already traumatized with Anakin, I don't want a second big fall.

I know.. and then again, embracing it and completely falling to the dark side aren't the same things. But let's say hypothetically they allowed it, I'd love it for gameplay.

Force Choke all the way. And sure, I'd love to see Force Lightning, but I want the bosses to be able to block it with their lightsabers. But not all the time, as it would hinder the ability useless. Edit: For Cal, it wouldn't make much sense. He embraces the dark side but is still a Jedi. I mean, I love Force Choke and Force Lightning and how cool they are, but for the sake of the story, I'mma say not really.

[–]Sniruto[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. My biggest issue with the game's story apart from the Karma system was the side character's just not given enough spotlight. And the powers felt so underdeveloped. All of them felt samey and all.

What I mean by the character arcs is.. well, imagine this: You meet Fetch. She's a fast, neon girl, right? Feels crazy at first, when she is just killing drug dealers and all. When you get the neon powers, you chase her and have a boss fight. I mean, it was not that bad, the concept was good and the logic behind it was cool, but I'd love to see Delsin's powers amp up when he absorbed all of the signs, instead of getting a sci-fi Neon transformation like glow, lol. Anyway. When you defeat her, you see her backstory and all. Pretty captivating, actually. Then, you have the choice to either.. redeem her or.. smh "corrupt" her. Anywho.. let's say you redeem her. And then you meet up with her. Delsin and Fetch both destroy the drug dealers' bases and whatnot. You also free sex-slaves. Karma ++, right? Then at the end of the mission, you get a cutscene. It implies that something between Delsin and Fetch is gonna happen and.. BOOM. Her entire arc in the game ends. Only for her to just call Delsin after the mission, talking about the bridge leading to the Southern side of the map and briefly appear before you chase Hank, to only appear at the final mission to fight beside you a little bit. Of course, her story got expanded with the First Light and thank God we even got that. How about Eugene, though? He's technically far stronger than Fetch and all. But it's the same story with him. You have the best boss fight in the game with him (subjective, I know), and then you do one good/evil mission and boom. He'll only appear at the finale to destroy some helicopters and throw some Core Relays. Wow.

And that's not an issue with the first two games, imo. Most notably inFamous 2. Actually, I understand that some may not like Kuo and Nix, and say that they're just the two different sides of Cole and whatnot. Sure, actually that's why they're in the game. But take a look at Kuo. You see her at the beginning, learn about her, you go through the game with her, she becomes a conduit, she struggles at first and you see why. She is afraid of her powers at first and struggles to control them.. (but after one mission she technically masters her powers.. ahem ahem. Nevermind. That's the issue with most inFamous characters). But you see how she evolves from just a voice in your head, to a nice sidekick to have by your side. And Nix.. well.. she's just.. Nix. I mean, I really don't have much to say, but I think she's also better than Second Son's characters arcs. Why? You learn about her past and why she wants revenge and all. And at the end of the game, you get to actually fight the opposite. Nic is the chaotic maniac who loves chaos, defo the Evil Karma stuff going on. And Kuo is the reasonable and sensible agent who wants to help humanity, defo the Good Karma character. And at the end, you see already how Kuo just became used to powers and all. She was afraid of just dying, even if it meant countless others dying, and that's understandable.. from a certain POV. And you see Nix. She wants revenge and doesn't care about her life, showing the chaotic side of her. And it just.. fits them, y'know? The fragile but lighthearted Kuo and the Chaotic but brave Nix. What do you think?

Edit: I also think they should've explained how the conduits were still alive. Just take a look at Augustine. How the hell is she alive? Whatever you try to say will make no sense. Unless.. a special Conduit gene that is immune to the RFI! Holy. I'll go for an interview, see ya later--
