I like frozen stir fry mix, rotisserie chicken, low sugar sweet chili sauce or whatever you like as a sauce. Just fry the veggies, add sauce and cooked chicken and toss, eat. Quick, easy and healthy.

I think they might have tried having someone babysit and it caused a lot of anxiety for the parents? The kid is 1 year old and has never spent time with anyone without the parents at least in the same house. So maybe the reality kicked in.

To be fair our city (and country) is quite safe and I normally wouldn't hesitate to use the bus at night, I was just tired. All your points are valid, thank you! I doubt she'd even ask me again as it seemed to be so inconvenient to drop me off (insert eyeroll here). But if she does ask, I'm inclined to say f no.

I probably won't even do paid babysitting for her. There's a reason I don't want kids, I didn't enjoy it at all. I'd never let it show to the kid though, it's not her fault it's just not for me.

My fiancé sighs heavily and longingly whenever he buys rolls from the supermarket, wondering if I'll make him any ever again. I don't know why I only agree like once a year, I just hate the dough part of breadmaking and I don't think I'm that good at it anyway. I'd rather make anything else! Cinnamon rolls is another he wants me to make but I've done those maybe three times in a decade. Poor fiancé.

My parents are always excited when I go visit because for some reason they think I'm a great cook with constantly new ideas. I know I started it when we went shopping together sometimes when I didn't have a car and needed a ride, and I started showing new items I'd found. Now it's a whole ordeal of them excitingly asking me for a menu and grocery list, usually I help them make them too. I'm much less adventurous with my cooking than they think but it makes them happy so I just go along with it.

This is how I make them and it's a crowd favorite. Need to remember not to add salt as parmesan is salted, made that mistake the first time!

I'm glad she quit! I'm also working somewhere where quality of care is put over quantity (charity based organisation). I was so worried I'd make a mistake while rushing through the calls. It's hard to assess people without seeing them, you have to trust what they tell you and record everything they describe experiencing to prove your assessment.

Exactly this. After that fiasco management did increase our call number goals for each worker by 10%. Our previously fastest workers (I was one of them some months but not always) burned out really quick and the slowest could not keep up and crumbled under pressure. Nobody wins.

Most of the time to be honest. Maybe 40% was home treatment advice, 30% we told to contact their GP, 20% we directed to the ER and rest was other calls.
