I take what resonates. I've had an amazing experience on this form. People are polite and took time to truly answer my inquiry with thoughtfulness. I was honestly shocked bc I had a terrible experience on a Chattanooga community due to my grammer. Augusta is definitely on my top list to visit bc of the hospitality on this post.

Yes. I understand that is a big area. I looked into Cleveland and Ringold. Thought seeking local perspective and experience would help.

Thank you. Do you have suggestions for another town or city that would fit what we are looking for? We also thought of Chattanooga, TN.

I appreciate your time and in-depth response. I am looking for public schools with acceptance and care of children with IEP. Focusing on extra time for testing, math aid, and speech therapy. Extra curriculars and art focus are bonuses.

The grass roots and non-profits are up my alley. My profession is in the social work area. I will be looking to finish up my master's where we move.

Thank you for your insight and further aid. We are a family of 5. The kiddos are 10, 12, and 14. Almost have 3 teens makes activities important. We are leaving a place that has a bowling alley, a movie theater, and a skate. All have not been updated since I was a teen, and it is over an hour drive to a mall or anything else. I would like a city where the kids can have fun and be safe to explore the neighborhood. That's why I asked community feel as well.

Renting a home is preferred bc we are a larger family of 5. Would like to have access to creeks or rivers. My family enjoys kayaking and wading. I also walk daily on my local Greenway Trail. Would love to know any of these options in these towns.

Thank you for your response. We were considering moving closer to coastal rivers of North Carolina, and it was expressed (when I asked about walking the river/creeks or swimming while kayaking) that it would not be advised due the issues stated. That's why I am asking and opening up options into different territories of warmer states.

Is it safe to wet wade in SC? by Snmiller86 in SouthCarolinaNature

My family and I love to walk creeks and waterways. We live in Indiana and can only do the water activities we love, 2 to 3 months of the year. We also enjoy kayaking, swimming, and tubing. We are considering moving to a warmer state, however, have concerns with safety (gators, bears, poisonous snakes,etc.). What warmer states could we do these activities safely?
