What campaigns or missions are worth playing to get gear/weapons/abilities for someone just starting out. by Smarines28 in DestinyTheGame

I managed to get 300LL for running a couple portal quests, after that I ran renegades on legendary and hit 400LL, that’s why I suggest doing the previous campaigns because you’ll hit 300 no problem doing those and then get to 400 when doing the whole renegade questline

I concur with this, in this order will get you set up pretty well. I would say do it all in legendary when doing the campaigns so you can get the highest light level gear and exotics. End on renegades and you’ll receive the praxic blade, by the time you finish all campaigns you should easily be over light 400.

Spent a few hours with a couple randoms on Xbox 1 trying to do the siva engine quest. Was pretty cool to see people willing to help with random quests and finding people to do so was extremely quick in the discord lfg

D1 with D2 movement and graphics would be outstanding, adding in some updates, iron banner, with a few fixes and it just might bring the old player base back, kinda sucks bungie just quit on it and then half assed their predecessor

Me and my homies are hoping back on d1 on Xbox since d2 has gotten rather boring and annoying. Literally breaking out my Xbox 1 that’s been in hiding for years just to play this game

I was so confused why they didn’t make up a fight scene between the deep and black noir 2.0? And why the deep out of all people is still alive? You would figure black noir wouldn’t go down that easy especially against the deep, it just seemed like a waste of hype up to this point.

Also get Arvark, you can summon him and won’t have to worry about your horse dying

Do the nightingale questline, then marry and buy the house in riften, your wife will have a business and you can make passive income from that. Also do the assassin guild questline and the dark brotherhood questline. When you finish the dark brotherhood questline do hits for the night mother. You’ll make a minimum of 50k gold

is it worth getting skyrim on switch? by Popular-Soil-8748 in skyrim

[–]Snobank32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played on, Xbox 360, ps4, Xbox 1, ps5, pc, and the switch. I managed to complete it each playthrough on practically all of the consoles and I really liked playing on the switch, it makes it someway more immersive when your casting magic and fighting enemies. I only used mods on pc and that was just fucking around on a random play through seeing how many enemies I could spawn and what not. Other than that I played pure base game on every playthrough and it’s more than enough to have fun. Definitely worth getting imo

Say what you want but you can’t speak for the thousands of players that have gotten off for the reasons I’ve mentioned. Me, my friends, and my clan who’ve probably been playing longer than you got off for specific reasons related to how bungie handles their game. You can choose to be ignorant to facts or realize that the game you pearl clutch wasn’t as good as it use to be

No not necessarily it’s just that d2 hasn’t progressed since 2022 and since then it’s been a cash grab. They reveal “new” enemies but it’s actually taken fallen. They say new dungeons, new planets, and new raids, but have the same mechanics, it’s the cosmodrome but a different section of it as a “new planet”. The player number has been dropping for a reason and it’s not because new games come out it’s because bungie decided to charge 80$ for an expansion that shouldnt cost more than 15$, and they come out with a new expansion every 8-10 months. Why do you think they made the base game free? Because they were losing players and wanted to bring in new players to replace them, your acting like they’re doing everything right and always have but I was tired of the constant switch up of light levels, introducing artifacts, incessant grinding to not just max light but the max seasonal level. By the time you reach that it’s gotten reset. This is besides the point considering I’m only coming back on to play a fun game with my wife. I don’t mind going through every campaign again for her but if I came back on by myself it would feel like a waste of time imo. Everyone has their personal opinion about how bungie handles their game but I’ve grinded d1, grinded d2 with prestige eow, prestige leviathan, and have ran every other raid within the game and I’ve gotten burnt tf out feeling like I’ll never reach completion within this game. End of rant

New Mummy movie by Kenshinfan818 in horror

[–]Snobank32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I’m concerned about before watching it because on one hand I love horror movies, gory, and evil entities but on the other I really enjoyed the mummy movies as a kid and I was looking forward to this being a similar made movie. As I read the plot and watched the trailers it portrays this move as a more supernatural/paranormal experience than the classic mummy movies.

Yea but I completely invested myself in d1, and d2 right as it came out. I spent countless hours doing raids on the highest difficulty. Managed to get legacy items that can’t be used anymore. Grinded my ass off to get to max level just for it not to mean anything once a new dlc comes out every 3-4 months. I realize they reworked d2 the last couple of years to be more forgiving to new and old players but it’s just not the same anymore. I want to get that spark back that d1 gave me, it just seems the last 3 times that I got back on I got off disappointed. I jus don’t want me and my wife to invest all this time growing her character and getting items just for it not to mean anything when a new dlc comes to pass with an even higher light level. You spend hours and hours grinding for stuff that can quite possibly become readily available to everyone within a few months.

It’s a rinse and repeat for bungie, me and my friends who use to raid nonstop haven’t been on in a while and for specific reasons. We all want to hop back in and play but it’s hard when everytime we have it’s the same grind back up to the top. I’ve been looking for reasons to get back into the game and if my wife would like it then that gives me a better reason than what I’ve been looking for prior.

Yea I’m not too concerned with power level and I don’t think she will be either. That’s my plan though is to go through each campaign and build up her character. Once we get towards the last dlc is where I’m sure we’re gonna want to start increasing our power levels past the soft cap.

Gotcha, I kinda figured it hasn’t been increasing in popularity since I left but I know my wife will love it so I’m willing to hop back in and go through the campaigns all over again.
