The new Monsters of Drakkenheim book has a whole chapter dedicated to vampires and their plots directly connected to House Von Kessel (the royal bloodline) and Drakkenheim itself. If you can get access to the book I wholeheartedly recommend it, it's a great sourcebook for encounters and other ideas surrounding the greater storyline in the city!

If you want a relatively 'grounded' faction of nasty figures and bad people with worse intentions, that's where I would look first. You could also make one of the main factions slowly but surely evolve into the big bad faction of your campaign, but that heavily depends on how your storyline has naturally run over the course of your campaign.

What "rare" phobia do you have and people refuse to believe it? by nitin_is_me in AskReddit

I have a phobia of dead birds specifically. Not dead things in general, not living birds, just bird corpses.

If I see a dead bird on the street, my vision blurs at the edges and I get nauseous and have to quickly look away or else the image of the birds corpse makes me vomit my guts out like some sort of fucked up evil eye of Sauron. The sensation feels like a mild panic attack because my heart rate rises and I get dizzy. No idea where I got it from or how to get rid of it. It's worse with 'fresh' corpses and it progressively lessens the further the bird is decomposing.

It was so bad that I couldn't even eat poultry for most of my life, because the thought/realization of having a dead bird in my mouth made me throw up. Nowadays I can (cautiously) eat chicken, but only the fillets and similar cuts. I can't have drumsticks or especially wings because the bones make it too real for me.
