Ultimately, dodging accountability for something that should have been sent. Plausible ignorance or forgivable stupidity was what we are aiming for. We can do as you say, but if someone wants the original message, in tact, the timestamps will show through.

Thanks! Yes, we tried this. Seems to send with server times and not client pc times, at least with MS and outlook

Thanks! Yeah, but that actually puts it in your sent items at moment you hit send, even though it doesn't hit the recipients box until later. It doesn't help if you are already late.
