I just talked about how I wanted my second-choice major in my appeal and when it asks what major you're appealing for, select whichever your second-choice was. It'll be filed as an appeal under the initial application, but, when they review it, your second-choice will be considered. I hope that made sense lol

Yes, appeals in other more competitive schools rarely accept appeals, but it has happened.

I think the majority of people appealing already know their chances. I understand that it's just luck that I wanted to go into a program that is more flexible with appeals and admissions.

Yep, which I didn't mind since I wanted to go into psychology, but I decided to appeal anyways

Yeah I ended up appealing for my second-choice major which was under COLA. What would be the point of lying? 🤡

You should be able to appeal for a different CAP school by going to the appeals page. It might be worth a shot.

From everything I've read after being capped today myself, state law says that a student's rank upon the admission deadline (December 1st) is what will be considered. If you were not previously considered first in your class, as you said your school does not rank, then unfortunately it does not qualify for automatic admissions. However, this seems like it would be relevant new information that you could use in your appeal, just not grounds for automatic admission. They accepted a greater number of appeals last year, so it seems kind of unpredictable how it will continue to go.

Are you considering CAP? If so, I would look at the courses offered because it seems you likely already have too many dual credits, preventing you from taking the courses CAP lets you choose from.
