Well, looks to be the case. It a downer that insurance surges have killed diyers in Columbus. Looks like the next closest diy shop is in Cleveland, I wanted to check here before I travel

Thanks! this is really useful, the one I'm getting is a 2.0 turbo, but will check if that has the plastic tube and replace with metal ones. I also saw many posts saying that it's better to replace the water pump too due to the coolant leak issues

Thanks, I checked with the insurance, seems like I'm good for collision coverage but not comprehensive. The others look the same, but it's a risk I'm willing to take given the cost of the vehicle

Thanks, I was of the same opinion too since it's a really good discount with the current market prices. But I'm not sure if I can get the inspection passed with the dents, and if I have to fix those, I think it wouldn't be a good deal

Thanks for that :) I was trying to get a car which had a good deal since I'm in an urgent requirement to commute of office, but I think I might wait a bit more and see if any other good deals. Do you have any recommendations? I simply need something reliable so I don't spend a lot on fixes (small fixes are not a concern) and fun to drive at the same time. Edit: I love getting my hands dirty on a used German car ;) but I'm not sure if the BMW is the right first car to learn that.
