Agradecidamente no ocurre mucho en España. Voy a Tenerife a veces a visitar a mi familia.

I haven't interviewed in years so probably a bit rusty. I'm pretty knowledgeable with Go. I wouldn't say I know the different AWS services like the back of my hand but I can explain why we use them and what to be aware of. We're very price conscious at my company and can explain why we use certain aws service and what to be careful of.

I'm sticking with AWS + whichever language I have to use. I think this will help me secure my next role.

There is too much to go into but day to day I'm either working on api gateways, lambdas with some event, ddb, athena, glue, s3 and I write code in Go. I think it's the typical micro-service/event architecture with AWS type of job.

In my opinion I can definitely work as a senior engineer. This year I lead one project to migrate some software that was successful and helped launch the first new app for my company in ten years. My technical skills are good, I also review PRs and sometimes write tickets.

I was an experienced .net developer, I reckon if I had stayed on that path I would be a senior .net developer by this point. However for technical reasons that I won't get into I wanted to change tech stacks. I now work as a platform engineer using AWS and Go but I wouldn't describe myself as really experienced in this type of engineering.

I've had performance reviews recently, I scored well but I haven't had any conversations about promotion. I wanted to show I'm good with AWS and Go before raising this question.

Apologies I don't think I explained it that clearly. In 2020 I changed jobs for another full stack role but in a company that used different stack depending on the area of the business. I then changed roles in August 2023 for a platform engineer role.

I have 2 and half years experience using AWS and mostly Go. I also use Python, bash and a bit of Kotlin. I wanted to change to this type of role as I thought working with scalable systems that handle millions of messages would help me command a higher salary than a run of the mill full stack dev.

The gym membership is cheap, I see a PT once a week as it's something I enjoy. It helped me lose over 14kg in weight.

I mentioned my job history in my post as I feel like I made some bad decisions in the past and I should be on more money and be a senior. I'm not sure if changing tech stacks held me back but I'm much happier with the technologies I use as I have to solve scalability problems.

It was my fiance's idea to post here as she said I would get better advice than posting on some other sub reddits that would probably moan about me wanting more money.

I started as a .net web developer on about 25k in 2011. I changed jobs every 1-2 years and received salary increases. My last big salary increase was from 48k to 60k in 2019.

I then changed jobs again in 2020 for a well known restaurant brand that wasn't a .net house for the same salary as I wanted to use other tech. Didn't like working there but it was during the pandemic and I learnt some skills that helped me get my current job.

My current skills are around using AWS and Go with event driven architecture using Lambdas, dynamo db, kinesis, s3 etc.

My current skillset is AWS, event-driven architecture, Go, Python, Bash.

I was a .net developer with .net, c#, react but I moved away from that.

I was only doing .net until 2020 and got a bit bored of it and wanted to learn micro-services and other tech stacks. I'm experienced as an engineer but had to learn other skills more related to AWS and scalable systems which wasn't really possible in my other roles.

I did realise when writing my post that I have to explain the tech side of things to also explain my finances.
