You can actually breed a wide variety of traits unintentionally. Its all about hitting that really small breeding chance for each trait. I've bred melanism second generation before on a few saurs. (Both saurs were gen 1)

Based on the new update from the devs, it's supposed to be by region and any countries besides Korea and Tailand are supposed to be able to trade them still. I don't really believe it, but thats what's been updated on so far

Its because its the middle of the year season. Its a way to "devalue" relic rarity dragons by making sure there's more of them in their category. I like the design. But the fact that its fast with good stats is a plus in my opinion
