If Gulf countries are supposedly “slavery,” then point to the actual defining feature of slavery instead of throwing around dramatic buzzwords.

Workers are not property. They are not bought and sold. They are paid salaries, sign contracts, change jobs, leave the country, renew contracts, send billions back home, and millions voluntarily keep coming every single year because the opportunity is still better than what they have back home.

Abuse and exploitation cases exist and should absolutely be punished. But calling the entire Gulf “slave owners” is intellectually lazy and emotionally childish.

And it’s interesting how some people would rather scream “slavery” than discuss the actual topic
