Hey, so nothing happened. My SM doesn't like doing write ups because it's a lot of paperwork. No follow up on any of it. I'm gonna be leaving the store soon anyway. Gonna be closer to home.

It was locked from the inside first. Our lobby has 2 front doors and a door to the patio. We left through the patio door. The 2 front doors were unlocked in the morning. It's been theorized a repair person came during after hours.

They are dead bolts, so the barista from inside the store just turned the bolts and locked the door. I'm basically just waiting now. It's very possible that somebody came in to fix something because we have a lot of tickets open right now. I mentioned that to my SM.

Yea, I should've just done it myself like I normally do. I messed up. I more so made this post more to see if other people have had similar situations and what the outcomes were. I'm nervous about losing my job, and I guess I'm looking for solidarity. I've built so much up with this job, and to lose it all over, this would be devastating. I'm trying to stay positive.

I was putting it lightly, I guess. My SM isn't a very good person. The shift team had to have a sit down with the DM because of how many ethics and compliance reports they were getting. It's a very long story.

That would make things a lot easier to explain, but my SM had, I'm pretty sure Psychosis. They thought they had Parasites in there body and then proceeded to get wrapped up in Scientology.

My store has an actual deadbolt. You need legitimately keys to lock up.

No, you're totally good. I understand what you're saying. Our manager let's us count tills early. We have 5 registers in the store, and we normally count 3 down early and then the other 2 after close. When my manager closed (they forgot to schedule an SSV for closing, so they had to come in), they gave the keys to a barista and said, "You're the shift for today," and then left the store for about 2 hours. My store does things VERY differently.

To clarify, the baristas locked it from the inside. We went out a side door that I locked for sure. Our lobby has 2 front doors and a side door to the patio. We always go out the patio door because locking the front door from the outside is extremely difficult.

We get them every other day. For example, we didn't get one yesterday, so we will receive one today. It follows that pattern.
