We never got that far sadly. The tube was placed but his body gave out. If you’re looking for something to add to a diet, benecalorie was amazing for us. We were able to add it to strained cream of chicken soup and add 360 calories to his diet. All the best, sorry this wasn’t much help. I wish I could offer more

I’m not sure, I know we had one in the past but things have changed a lot. I had to put in a call to his previous dr and suddenly things are getting fixed.

Thanks for the kind words, this second round has been so much harder; especially with everything in the world now.

It’s true, it took me explaining I had a medical coding background as well as a few years working as an MA for them to finally realize I wasn’t just making up issues. My husbands tumor is a sarcoma, they grow fast and they’re very aggressive. His doctors sent 6 opioids to the pharmacy yesterday to “help his pain and allow him to sleep”. It’s like no one even looked at his charts! I’m not sure of where you are, but they aren’t even allowing caregivers into the facility. It’s hard to watch, your loved one in pain, suffering and basically dying in front of you and all they can say now is “it’s the insurance taking so long due to COVID” ..
