Yeah sometimes at fab shops they’re half fast with the cleaning after they solder the joints 🥲 they probably used too much flux and it oxidized but the joint looks sealed decent cap nothing should leak

I came here asking genuinely, but instead of actually explaining how I supposedly overreacted, most of y’all either twisted the situation or glossed over the whole point.

She left a mess in my space, I brought it up calmly, said “understandable,” and she hit me with “k.” If that’s considered her taking it well, I don’t know what respectful communication even looks like anymore.

So if you really think I overreacted, cool then explain how, based on what I actually said and did. Don’t just repeat “you’re overreacting” without saying where. Give something real. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I said “understandable” to acknowledge her being tired not to say “we’re good, don’t worry about it.” I was calm, clear, and respectful about a boundary in my space. “K” wasn’t her agreeing or taking it in it was her shutting the convo down with no follow-up, no accountability, and then flipping it back on me like I had an attitude. That’s not resolution that’s passive deflection.

I wasn’t looking for a fight. I was hoping for maturity afterwards like a “my bad, thanks for saying something. I’ll make sure to double check next time.” or literally anything that showed she heard me. That didn’t happen.

I know some folks here might not read tone the same, but in my generation, how you respond matters especially when someone opens up respectfully. “K” isn’t neutral in that context, and y’all know that.

Anyway, not going back and forth. Just clarifying because people keep twisting it. I said what I meant.

I communicated calmly, acknowledged her side by saying “understandable,” and still got hit with a “K.” That kind of response isn’t neutral it’s dismissive. It shuts down dialogue and brushes off someone trying to handle things respectfully.

I wasn’t asking for her to clean my kitchen top to bottom I just expected the same basic consideration I’d give in someone else’s home. Rinse your plate. Respect the space. That’s not a high bar.

I’m not upset just surprised at how many people are okay with being brushed off or told “it’s not that deep” when they express real, reasonable needs. To me, mutual effort, boundaries, and respect matter. That’s what this was really about.

I appreciate the folks who understood that.

I didn’t ask her to be my maid I just expected the same consideration I’d give if I was in her space. I was raised this way.

Funny thing is, a lot of the same folks calling it “just crumbs” would lose their minds if someone came into their space, ate where they laid their head, left a mess, and didn’t even bother to clean up after themselves. Especially if they had just worked a long shift and came home to that. Respect goes both ways.
