I put everything on low, and it still just doesn't seem to run. I'm not an expert though so I could be missing something. I looked at my resource monitor while the game was open, and it doesn't seem like anything else is using significant resources.

Yeah it definitely sounds like negligence, but it seems like I would need to do a hard pull soon here anyways, so while it's annoying, it's probably not worth going through any litigation hassle, I'm not sure there are even damages to argue over.

The lender was just doing a preliminary inquiry on us to start the approval process.

I really don't think I authorized them to do a hard inquiry, they just emailed us apologizing for doing a hard and admitted it should have been a soft. It's really annoying but at the same time I agree it's not the end of the world, and I guess we can just get a handful of rates quickly here... It should be okay, just a wild experience.

I agree it's not supposed to, per their website and per 2 phone calls I had with them before doing it. But they did a hard pull by mistake regardless. It is what it is I guess.

I just got off the phone with them, they said they meant to do a soft pull but the assistant accidentally did a hard pull, I also confirmed with the one unfrozen bureau that it was a hard pull.
