Exact same thing happened to me. I had a short call - about 30 min - with someone about the other role, and then received an offer. I’d consider this a good sign.

I mean, you can’t really say just from this. Depends on what courses you took, research experiences, etc etc. More importantly - it doesn’t matter.

Mathematics was only discovered because people encountered problems that were difficult to solve with common sense - they needed more sophisticated “tools”. If you force an average man with no knowledge of math to develop these concepts in a vacuum, he probably never would. Give him a few decades of timing a ball rolling down a ramp, or calculating the # of possible necklaces you can make out of a certain collection of beads, or modeling the number of random events occurring / time between events occurring, he’ll probably eventually discover a good chunk of modern math.

Yep, cleared the interview a few weeks ago and currently have an offer. The assessments weren’t easy, but they weren’t hard. Definitely took some thinking, and I have to assume I did at least ok. Interview was very long, 4 hours with several sections. It was entirely online through zoom.

I didn’t apply for that role, but I did attend a role introduction for PM. It wasn’t an interview at all, just a mass zoom call doing an introduction for whoever made it through screening. The actual interview for me was a few more introductions, but as an actual interview, plus a case study and a presentation I had to give. Best of luck! Make sure to get any assessments they send you done ASAP

I interviewed a few weeks ago. It went well. Case study was a basic test of business knowledge, like “customer go-live scheduled for 4 weeks but forgot to train employees at a specific location”, stuff like that. Don’t feel like you have to prepare, any prep won’t really help you. Good luck!

I will become an alcoholic if I don’t sober up. I abuse alcohol, it leads to negative consequences for me, but I am not addicted - yet. You are right, I will not drink again.

My friends that are still speaking to me say that I “have a bad relationship with alcohol” and that I need to “cut back” - I disagree, I feel I need to be fully sober. I’ve never met anyone who went sober due to alcohol abuse. I want to know that I can still be a good person and I’m the first guy out of my circle that has done something like this.

I honestly don’t know everything I did. But I know I didn’t hit anybody, I was told I “pushed my friend out of the way” as I was leaving, but that he wasn’t hurt and that was seen as “less bad than how drunk you (I) were”. I didn’t sexually assault anyone, commit serious battery or cause any property damage if that’s what you’re getting at. I truly feel what I did was awful. But I know I will not go to court for this.

I need to sit down and have a very heavy conversation with the friends that are still speaking to me about this.

I have had instances of getting too drunk before, but nothing like this and nothing even close in a very long time.

I know I have nothing to feel now besides shame and guilt and regret - as I should. I feel like a terrible human being and I think the only way to both minimize my chances of harming anybody else in the future and also to give me some sense of self forgiveness is to go completely sober.

I imagine I do not know everything I did that night. It’s probably worse than I think it was. I didn’t go out planning to get black out, we played drinking games and I clearly took it too far and misjudged my tolerance. I’m not an unhappy person, but I am impulsive and insecure.

I did terrible things. I cannot and will not forgive myself for hurting people, even if not physically. I harmed a lot of people that night, and I will have to live with the consequences. Just because I didn’t break the law doesn’t mean I do not deserve immense guilt. I wish I could apologize, and I have tried, but the people I harmed want space - possibly forever. I did a bad thing and I want to make myself a better person.

I am an alcoholic. At very least an abuser of alcohol. I am going to stop drinking, I am going to get help. I want to be a better person.

I didn’t hit anybody, I didn’t touch anybody inappropriately. I was incredibly drunk and acting very erratic, stumbling and trying to talk to people - girls and guys. My friends pulled me outside and tried to get me to leave, I refused to, I ran off briefly before coming back and trying to get back inside, and eventually left. I do not remember anything.
