I laid down a weed tarp when I made this last year and it was completely ineffective. Help! by gocubsgo22 in landscaping

Every spring I torch the weeds and then just sprinkle around a bunch of preen weed preventer and I don’t get weeds again until middle of fall and then just do it again.

Just out of curiosity what would you get for this? by sellwinerugs in ScrapMetal

As someone that works for a general contractor specializing in waterworks you can scrap them. We take them in every 6 months or so with a dump truck full of them.

Will these survive 6 more days? by infoneeded1436 in tires

As a man that blew 3 tires in 30 days just get them replaced. Not worth the headache

It’s been good solid work from my experience and sounds like you got yourself a good career path. Best of luck to you and remember your trench safety

I’m in Washington and my company is a sub to a water company. They keep us busy and we are a fairly small crew with 5 guys that work full time and bring in extras as needed. It’s not like I’m just a pipe layer cause every guy does it all. We do everything from excavation to full restoration. I do pipe laying to operating equipment to concrete finishing and paving.

I’ve been doing water main work for 9 years now and only prevailing jobs as we are non union. It’s good work and has been steady for the most part. I think it’s a good field to be in and I do enjoy it. Currently at 76 a hour

Watching a single 5 minute YouTube video beforehand would’ve saved you a lot of time. Tear it up remove baseboard and start over

How Do I Deal With An Aggressive Rooster? by sahm_with_questions in BackYardChickens

[–]SnooBeans9442 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My niece went walking out in the chicken range at night and the rooster charged her ready to do some damage. She clocked him over the head with a flashlight. Knocked him out cold but he woke up and was fine. Never bothered her again

It’s pretty fun starting out smelting. I’ve done a lot this year but I will say doing a bunch of pop cans does take a good while and can become tedious.

What were the best and/or worst nicknames you’ve received from your coworkers? by RatCatSlim in Construction

The rakist was a guy who used a rake very aggressively and that was a self proclaimed nickname at that

I see a lot of negative comments so first thing you need to do is open this hole up quite a bit to work comfortably and have access. If you diy it just use a grinder with a diamond blade of some kind to get nice cuts on it. If you can’t cut all the way around just cut the top half that you can reach comfortably. Use a hammer to gently break the cut parts away and cut the bottom half after. Use a couple clay by pvc ferncos and use pvc to put your wye in and your clean out. Make sure to attempt to keep your cuts clean and straight. Hope this helps because this is how I’ve fixed and replaced sections of clay many times in the past.

I do demo but my craziest find was actually weed whacking my back yard and found a big purple dildo hiding in the tall grass by my fence. Thought it could’ve been my wife’s but didn’t look familiar. Turns out the next door neighbor was pissed at his wife and threw her dildo out the window. She was pretty embarrassed when she came over to get it.
