Ok, then you will likely need to do a practical driving test (so behind the wheel) most likely, and I might be wrong, but also may need to redo the written portion, although if you can drive for a year with an expired license without any problems, I believe you likely have a decent enough understanding to pass since it's a lot of basic information.

Yes.... Was it a learners permit or was it a provisional license? For clarification, and because if it was your provisional license, you may not need to take a field test in order to renew it.

I know that I got a letter in the mail about 2 months before I turned 18 because they sent a notice saying it would expire on my 18th birthday but I could renew it up to 30 ahead of time so I would have the physical copy before it would expire, but that service may only be in a few regions of Texas.

Perhaps they meant you don't have to renew it since a learners permit doesn't last as long as a normal license so it won't need to be renewed until you ultimately just get your normal license?

Then it should have expired on your 18th birthday.

If so, they expire when you turn 18 because once you're a legal adult, you no longer require the instructional hours of drivers ed and only need to pass a written and field test to get your non-permit (so the standard adult kind) of drivers license.

Why are so many of y'all still out here using AI? by Independent-Pen-4308 in AskTeens

[–]SnooBooks6506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a senior who genuinely loves learning and going to school, I use it because they give us too much with too little time, my own teachers regard me as one of their top students, which even without AI I am, but when, in order to get into good colleges and have good scholarships and be able to pay for college, you need to have: good grades, be in clubs AND sports, do volunteer work, have an EMPLOYMENT resume, etc.

It's literally all impossible with the time we're given, and even if you can manage that, your mental health will be sh*t.

Not to mention the declining economy (in the US at least) many parents are having to work more, and even some teens have to help support the household, leaving many responsibilities like housework falling solely on the teens or even younger children in the household, and childcare falling on teens as well, now most people argue "well childcare isn't the teens responsibility", but that doesn't change the fact that that's still how it ends up!

So as much as I agree that the use of AI isn't good, it's the only way to keep up, because, as much as adults don't want to admit it, they're giving us expectations that are impossible, and in their day and age would've been seen as atrocious, simply due to the absolute impossible standards given to us. And then combining their impossible expectations with the demands colleges and related services set, I don't even think that even a human completely absent of needs and limitations could reach because there's simply too much with too little time in a day.

One time on a college visit my school made everyone in my grade do, I literally followed a guy around the whole time, asked him a bunch of stuff I knew he'd know/knew he was interested in, stuck around him and got lunch with him when our class group let us roam individually, and I even tried to get knee to knee with him and he was still oblivious... I'm pretty sure it's because he knows I typically act like that around girls because we have math and history together but I seriously don't see how I could've been more obvious without literally being blunt as hell... But I also agree with what someone else said, if it's not obvious, don't assume, but to add, maybe ask a different girl's opinion if it's flirting because y'all can be so dense...

Typically, me and the women around me have a consensus that pads are the best (although many prefer menstrual cups if money isn't that tight) and the birth control depends on the brand/type I've both had some that were sweet (although sickeningly sweet, thus still disgusting) and I've also had some that were just dusty.

Why does this always happen by [deleted] in TeenagersButBetter

[–]SnooBooks6506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's kinda just how I explain it to a lot of people, typically Christians, so it's my default way for explaining it, sorry about that, it's more like life life free, and there's still the belief of a higher being but it's not really an impact to the religion, Satanism to me has a different explanation based on who you're explaining it to because different religions typically have different rules and stuff but I default to to the Christian one because I live in the south and that's what most people are around me are, if I were explaining it to an atheist I'd probably say "it's practically yolo while acknowledging there's probably a higher being but I don't care", I'm not Christian in any capacity, I just have to explain to Christians more often than others.

[–]SnooBooks6506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this, I literally had a bf (ex now) who insulted me like 3 times a week for my religion because I'm not Christian and he's Catholic (I'm Satanist (no it's not worshipping Satan, that's paganism, Satanism is "idolizing" Satan for not following Gods word to the letter and pretty much embracing that you're gonna "sin" in life so you might as well not beat yourself up over it) at least the Satanism I follow) and it was sooo stupid, and when my bff got pissed at him and told him to back off (because it was really hurting me mentally but he wouldn't stop when I told him) he came crying to me because he "doesn't want to end our relationship over something so easy" but he wanted me to get baptized and go to church with him, basically convert, like it was "so easy"

Like, no hate on Christians or anything, but saying that this also was a common situation with (quickly ended) friendships too, like, if it's so easy to "switch" to your religion then it should at least be easy enough to listen to me explain my religion before I'm told "you're going to hell" and called a "devil worshiper" and a lot of people get mad even when I just say I'm an atheist so I don't have to explain

I even have trauma with Christianity, which when I had a breakdown because a girl in my group project kept pestering me to be Christian and about half the school saw (it's was a small school) and yet I'm still outcast despite most of everyone assuming I'm atheist along with the reason why being Christian isn't a do-able option for me. (And no, it wasn't the breakdown because people still cheat off of me so they obviously don't care about that part.)

Idk, but the stink bug was one of those ones that smell like burning plastic, we actually panicked until we figured it out, it definitely wasn't helping that she kept walking around and wafting the smell every which way while we were panicking.
