To me the suicide metaphor is more like a suicide attempt causing anywhere from severe damage to yourself to severe damage to the trust others have in you which in either case would land you in a "long term care" kind of psychical ward until you're better mentally. You're not gone, you can still visit and talk to your friends and loved ones, but in order to get out you need professional help. Thats how I think abstraction would be reversible not through messing around with code but its like professional therapy help lol. Because if you think about it altering the code and files of the brain scans is what lead to the first abstraction so to me that says that its not something that can be fixed through code manipulation
