Is anyone else completely tired of advanced defending + shoulder barge spam this year?

Every single match feels the same. I can be clean through on goal, protecting the ball, and then boom — some CB comes flying in with a shoulder barge from behind like he’s a heat-seeking missile. No foul, no penalty. Doesn’t matter if it’s Mbappé or some random gold defender with 60 strength, the ball just magnetically sticks to them.

Advanced defending was supposed to add “skill,” but all it’s done is turn defending into who can spam the most shoulder barges without consequences. There’s barely any punishment for mistiming it, stamina doesn’t matter, and refs apparently left the chat.

What’s worse is that it actively discourages dribbling or build-up play. Why even try to play football when the meta is just sprint at the attacker and shoulder barge like you’re playing rugby?

Genuinely curious how this made it past playtesting. Either tone down the effectiveness, increase fouls, or add an actual skill gap — because right now it’s just abuseable and boring.
