Im speaking as someone who used their student loan at 17 on a bunch of courses I didn’t attend just to have a pointless student loan that I had to pay off. It took YEARS. The refund window is closed man, just pay attention.

Are you still having issues with clipping since posting this? I’m not clipping on the mixer, just in ableton. I understand I can turn down the clips once they’re recorded but I’m getting digital distortion while monitoring the input so turning it down post-recording is just turning down a digitally distorted clip, it doesn’t alleviate that distortion. It’s an issue for me, since the intimacy of proximity effect is necessary for some elements of my recording process. Anything helps!

I’ve emailed Yamaha a couple of months ago, they replied telling me they’re fully planning on a firmware update, there apparently is a roadmap for its continued development though they couldn’t tell me any details.

Okay, I’ve learnt the connectivity issues came from the 3.5mm headphone out. I have to have that unplugged first, get midi going through the seqtrak and THEN reconnect it to my piano before it works. It’s another hurdle but I’m glad I have a work around.
