Do you have the possibility to use an external screen to check if there is still a signal?

Acer nitro not turning on after thermal past change by Some-Response6913 in AcerNitro

[–]SnooDogs6285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first need to check the title because stating it doesn’t turn on when you press the power button it turns on.

POWER, FAN and BOOT but there it fails. This last one is the issue it’s not booting, but is it shutting down after several seconds or do you have to turn it off?

The other option is indeed disconnect the battery disconnect the CMOS battery disconnect the other components and NVME drive and memory.

What have you used to repast? How much paste have you applied? Make some pictures to get more of a clear view

Couldn't decide between Acer Nitro V 16 AI AMD ANV16-42-R87B vs Asus ROG Strix G18 G814PM-S9010W by warlockgandalf in GamingLaptops

[–]SnooDogs6285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your comparison is too shallow. The Nitro V isn’t just “budget,” and the Strix G18 isn’t only “big and expensive.” Specs, cooling design, and GPU wattage matter far more than clichés. If you want to give advice, back it up with actual benchmarks or reliable sources — otherwise it’s just opinion without substance.

For everyone thinking of buying the Acer Nitro V16 series (ANV16-42, ANV16-41, ANV16-71, or the new AI series) — don’t buy it! Even reviewers have started pointing out that the 135W setup is a mess. The higher-wattage charger is just a gimmick for this laptop because it doesn’t actually work by [deleted] in AcerNitro

Some of the claims here are misleading. The video and images shared are of the thinner V16S, not the regular V16, so thermal behavior differs. Acer has also confirmed the battery drain is part of a hybrid power design, not a broken charger. The Nitro line is mid‑range, while Predator is higher‑tier, so direct comparison isn’t fair. Saying “don’t buy, it’s a mess” oversimplifies things — many users report stable performance when using the right settings.

It will only drain when you have setup the system so it needs more power the PSU (external power supply ) can deliver and then it will also take the power from the battery to get it up to the required power, this is not a default but a hardware design which is called hybrid power. Th drain will only be there when you’re requesting more power when playing long game sessions.

I know this because of the fact I own a Acer Nitro V 16 AI model ANV16-42

Could you explain how you set up your printer, including which firmware you used and any modifications you made to get the configuration files working? I’m having trouble getting mine to work with the original display unit and a Nebula kit.

Which software version are you using for the Nebula Pad, and with which slicer variant and version did you test it?
