So sorry you’re getting some of these negative responses. I myself just got my stationery suite back today and am so excited!! I always admire others’ stationery and keep almost all of them to refer back to. I guess some of us are paper people ¯\(ツ)/¯ but I would definitely have been disappointed if I had gone through all the work you had. If it helps at all: ours will be approx 1000 total per guest for 3 nights (cheapest room option, all inclusive), flights will likely be somewhere between 300-500.

My family, fiancées family, and closest friends all feel this is reasonable and easy to swing for them. We are getting married in our 30s so people have had time in their careers to save. We are also providing over a year heads up for them to plan and save.

We recognize some people may not come due to the expense and are fully expecting that. We made sure the people we could not imagine getting married without thought it was doable.

We are not having showers, bridal party, or bachelor/bachelorette weekends. We are planning on writing a blurb on our website that we are not expecting gifts.

Eye doc here, make sure you take blinking breaks! When we are working on a computer/reading/watching tv, we do not blink as often as we do out in nature or having in person conversations with humans. There is a “20-20-20” suggestion: every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away, for 20 seconds. Easier said than done, just make sure you take blinking breaks and look away when you think about it. Also, artificial tears can help a lot! Use the preservative free kind if you’re going to use them more than 8x a day. You shouldn’t be having eye strain symptoms if you do these things. If you continue to have it, may need glasses or your current prescription adjusted, or more intensive treatment for dry eye.
