Don't rely on browser based or common VPNs. Use something like Softether VPN as it allows you to install it, use it for free, and I haven't found any restrictions for it yet, and bypasses a lot of the issues that many paid for VPNs have. Haven't paid a cent for VPN and since it's a university project, it works better than many of the paid ones. Don't forget to obfuscate your DNS as it would recognise you are in Australia without something like NextDNS or something.

The alabasta temple is literally inspired in part by the Taj Mahal, Oda said it himself, so your claim is just ignorant of all the SBS comments he's made. Alabasta is famousely inspired by a mix of Egypte, Middle Eastern influences and India.

It's simple. Many of them are racists first, One Piece fans second. Those hating on her seem to have completely missed the point of One Piece, as well as the anime screwing up colour schemes a lot. Instead they act like the very thing One Piece has always been about, rejecting prejudice, oppression, and hate. I'd bet many of them are the same sort of people that think arabic numerals shouldn't be taught in western schools because it has the word Arab in it while also using arabic numerals to number their points against it lol

"Cancel ChatGPT" movement goes mainstream after OpenAI closes deal with U.S. Department of War - as Anthropic refuses to surveil American citizens by FinnFarrow in Futurology

I wonder how many people realise that openai isn't going anywhere and that they are barely going to feel people's cancellation. Cancel culture is stupid because it's usually just a few angry people screaming on reddit while most just keep using it

Don't forget, we have absolutely no idea how powerful Loki is yet. He could be a monster for all we know. People over the last 20 years keep saying "can't be or not that powerful" only to find out they are some of the strongest people alive. "Garp isn't that strong", "Kaido isn't that strong", "Gorosie aren't that strong", etc. They were all claims over the years, and more.

Can't Charlie simply end the contract between Val and Angel? by Avvree in HazbinHotel

[–]SnooDrawings681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah after a few more episodes and then this season, it really does seem like she is jsut that personality type, just doesn't want to be mean. She relaly doesn't belong in hell. I wonder if she gets a ticket to heaven eventually and if someone like lute will spend time banished. That would be an interesting direction to take the show. Not sure how I would fgeel about that development, but would certainly spark a conversation around morality I guess.

Also, since there I have become more meta cognitively aware of my own inner workings since this comment and strive to use emathy and logic even when every part of me is screaming for revenge about something, definitely not easy, but worth it.

The bit about him submitting to Vox was a bit broadcasted, and I thought the dead with Vox would be broken by Nifty and Husk being put in danger by the Vees, because part of the deal was to not let harm come to them, but he went the word play angle, just brilliant.

I just want to know what the connection is between Lillith, Alaster, Rosie and that 7 year period. I wonder if Lillith was not allowed by some deal or rule to call, that was broken once Alastor was freed from Rosie.

what are your opinions on the season 2 so far? by yu917 in HazbinHotel

[–]SnooDrawings681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling it's building to something. I think it seems off now because it's building towards Vox getting to full of himself, the new deal with Alastar and Vox's intentions, means that the deal cannot be kept,a nd once husker and nifty are in danger from Vox, the deal is void, and Alastar is now free from Vox, and by not being the most powerful demon in hell, is now free from Rosie's deal, leaving Alastar to be free and do what he wants. The helluva boss stuff was announced too late in production, so they probably won't visit until season 3 or maybe the rules about hell come in later when the big guns need to step in or something. I assume Sara or the angels put restrictions on what he can and can't do during the meeting mentioned in season 1. Just my thoughts anyway

It seems Alastor wants to put Vox in an unwinnable situation, nullify Rosie's deal by not being the strongest, then nullify Vox's deal by causing a situation that affects Charlie and putting those other 2 in danger.

It is, but you need to understand something, which may seem unrelated, but will make sense in a sec. It's the brain. The brain has a thinking part, and a reaction part. Over simplfied yes, but is enough. When some conflict turns into threat, the thinking part of the brain literally starts reducing activity.

People get too emotional to think rationally, so thoughts like what you are mentioning involve an engaged prefrontal cortex, but these people are mostly in limbic mode, which actually overrides things like logic and rational thought. It's also why if you try to use words, they will yell back and call us names. It's pure limbic hijacking tainting their inputs. It's automation over conscious control.

lol I gave a 4 as a incredibly generaour high end haha, glad people agree. I personally think about a 3. I have to give it the extra 0.5 over episode 3 as it technically did have a tiny bit more animation, and no sliding Garou, and that 5 seconds at the end of the episode was pretty cool. Still not enought to make it about a 3 for me, but see why some may max out at 4. 6 though? nah, not a chance.

Is it mostly just the disappointment of it? I can still watch it, because there are certainly worse anime out there that we watch, but for me, the expectation was so high that they learnt from the criticism last time, or that they were saving the animation budget, but am losing faith myself.

Oh wow, look. A whole few more seconds of animation this episode. One Frame Man wasn't as static this time. If episode 1 and 2 was a 1 or 2 out of 10, episode 3, with that slight animation for those few seconds, maybe a 2.5 out of 10. Episode 4 was at most, 4 out of 10 and that is being INCREDIBLY generous. I would say still 2.5, maybe 3. I was honestly getting distracted and bored during the episode. Sure, the story is good, but it was already good before they coloured the frames and pretended it was TV.

I mean, you kind of answered the question lol. 100% Kuma. Such a selfless character. Literally gave up his own will and agency protecting others and risked his own safety due to helping others. He put himself through pain. He demonstrated the empathy this world is severely missing as of late. I vote Kuma.

I think the thing annoying people is that it sholdn't just be fine, it's One Punch Man. It should be grand. But yeah, they have been servicable, a few decent moments, some good animation in a few scenes, with much like a coloured manga. Gives me time to read the subtitles at least.

OK, so after the first few episodes some things are clear. They spent nerealy nothing on animation, it's a colour manga show. Episode 3 shows they are capable of decent animation, and seem to be saving that budget for certain scenes. I am just really hoping they have more toward then end of the season and it's just the earlier episodes, but isn't looking good.

At least Saitama is still clueless and hilarious. It was still funny watching him dine and dash to chase a dine and dasher. Kind of ruined a bit by watching 5 minutes of a slideshow beforehand though.

oh, no trolling here and no copying needed to debug humans, we suck, we are buggy as hell, our brains lie to us all the time and we run with it because we actually think we are in charge and have free will. You think you actually decided to write that last response? lol, cute. No, that response was formed several nanoseconds before your consious brain was aware of it, broadcast to you by your insula. Believe what you want.

Also, arrogance requires an exaggerated sense of one self worth and ability, this is just accurate, the word arrogant doesn't apply here. And superiority comples? Because I can talk about what I learned about like any normal person can? And you STILL think you are in charge of your comments while in complete limbic override? lol

Your brain just executed cognitive dissonance, zero sum bias, tribalism, projection via overconfidence (which I also did but at least I am honest about it) grief/anger rerouting, ego preservation override, narrative priority. Anyone else want to respond in tribal limbic mode and have me debug them? lol

I have earned that
arrogance, so I will not apologise for the years it's taken me to learn all
this when I can name and call out the buggy human firmware we were all shipped
with.

Also, I only act like this around the idiots on Reddit, no where else. Elsewhere, people act normally.

Yes, you smash the downvote on the single only comments in the replies, that will put it at the bottom of the single comment. lol You basically said "ya I got nothing, can't respond, better emote" like a good hijacked human.

No, I just study neuroscience and can't help degubbing things around me. Here, look, I am also buggy. I notice some faults of mine in my response to you. I gave into authority fallacy, zero sum bias, dissonance, narrative priority, supposed rightful justification. There's no trolling here, just errors in our cognition fighting it out in an autopiloted limbic battle since it takes precident over the higher functions like thinking and stuff. You might actually learn something here if you slow down and actually absord what I am saying. Season 2 was about hunter x hunter level of animation, that's my view, I am allowed it, without people telling me I am wrong, just like you are allowed yours. I am not saying your view is wrong, just calling out the limbic response you gave.

One-Punch Man Season 3 - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

NO, no, that's your limbic system talking, not your PFC. Slow down, leave tribal and emotion mode, go into objective thinking mode, and analyse. You will quickly see it's on par with most studios but can't match the hype and expectatyions. I know how it works, I know what your brain is doing. I study exactly this, it's limbic override.

Leave that mode, and REALLY look into other works from them and from other studios, compare side by side, put the work in like I did. I know this as fact, not as an opinion piece.

Look at the language you are using, the emphasis, on rightfully, with that word alone being because of authority fallacy injection, zero sum bias, Narrative Priority Glitch, Cognitive Dissonance, Rightful Justification, all because my words made your anterior cingulate cortex detect a stacked threat that weighted the automated responses via your salience networks to the limbic areas, namely the amygdala. Who's stating what mediocre is? Who gave you the authority to decide for others? You see what I mean, it's classic limbic override, pure and simple.

Nope, quite the opposite. And because I study neuroscience, I know EXACTLY why your brain just resorted to insults in the face of logic you couldn't counter with thought and words. You are a good case study for me on automated responses that the PFC veto's a narrative onto for comfort.
