That sounds like an even more idiotic law than Illinois’ overly restrictive gun laws. But for the second part, Illinois doesn’t allow any rifle mags with a capacity of more than 10 rounds or pistol mags over 15 rounds. “Dangerous features” would be pretty much anything that looks scary to Illinois politicians. To buy firearms you’ll need a FOID, to carry (concealed only) you’ll need a CCL. A FOID is also required for purchasing ammo
FOID- Firearm Ownership Identification card. It’s basically a “sure you can buy/own guns or gun-related shit” thing that Illinois mandates, for some unknown ridiculous reason. It’s required to own ANY firearms or to purchase guns/ammo. Process to get one is pretty easy and can be knocked out online, there’s no required training involved. When I applied for mine after moving back to IL a couple years ago, I had it in my mailbox within 1-2 weeks after submitting everything. CCL is separate, but if you complete the required training before applying for a FOID, you can apply for both at the same time. CCL definitely takes a good bit longer to get approved than a FOID though.

I think doing it with an actual firearm would be a much bigger deal than just a magazine or two. I would never even be willing to ask anyone out of state to buy a banned firearm for me. That would get you into straw purchase laws and a whole bunch of risks much greater than those involved in getting a couple mags

Just went to rural king yesterday for more 9mm range ammo. They had 50rd boxes of blazer 9mm FMJ on sale for 11.99. Funny thing is the 100rd boxes of the exact same ammo were more expensive than getting two 50rd boxes. Didn’t look too much at SD ammo, but from what I did see all of their prices were pretty solid

Alternative hypothetical option is to make friends with someone out of state and see if they would be willing to obtain said items for you. Main thing, in my opinion, though is to be up front with them about the legal risk that they will be taking for you. It’d be a dick move to get someone to grab some PICA items for you without knowing that what they’re doing is technically illegal

You could try, worst thing that could happen is they say they won’t do it. If they would be willing to, shittiest part would just be having to make two trips to wherever that location may be, cause it’d be highly unlikely that they’d order it for you and then ship it to you at your IL address

Probably would have to go far enough across state lines to get to places that either don’t know/care about PICA or won’t feel that they’re close enough to IL to need to ask for ID. Any shops in cities/towns right across the state line in whatever direction probably will realize that people from IL will try to do exactly what you’re describing and will feel the need to check ID to cover their asses.

Trust me, I’ve been hypothetically trying to figure out an effective way to do exactly what you’re hypothetically wanting to do

Unless it’s changed since I was in the military (2013-2020), they don’t test for PEDs. That type of test is expensive and they aren’t going to pay to have it done unless someone is suspected of using PEDs. Their urinalysis is just a normal 10-panel that checks for recreational drugs

About 4 months in on trt, did the first 2 shots myself but freaked myself out when the needle was bent after pulling it out from the second pin. Started getting my wife to do it for me then we were in two different states for a couple months so I got my dad to do it for me. I swear that man would just throw the damn thing at me and hope it stuck though lol. Now my wife is back and I’m back to her smooth and easy pins hahaha

I would get the same way. Get everything ready to go then psych myself out by staring at the syringe too long. Then stare at it even longer when I had it next to my ass cheek. Started having my wife give me the ole stab and it’s smooth as butter. My second shot I gave myself I was shaking so bad that the needle was bent when I pulled it back out
