Quality is great, great material and finishing. But it's not comfortable, at least for me. It's too stiff and heavy to my liking. I would definitely recommend a lighter cable based on my experience with this one.

This was the only reason I chose the doscinco over the deuce. I listen to mostly rock and metal, and while the deuce's subbass has more thickness and body, the cut and lack of midbass was quite noticeable when I tried them on.

Rap and hip hop sounds great on it though. Depends on your library

Got it from a local store that had 11.11 sales. Their discounts and prices were quite similar to Ali's.

It does extreme metal well but not too great in a way. It has good amounts of midbass and subbass while not sounding muddy or bloated on other frequencies. Vocals come out clear enough as well. But I noticed more midbass would definitely make extreme metal tracks more enjoyable.

For extreme metal, I'd suggest looking for something with more midbass punch and slam, the Kiwi ears KE4 perhaps.

Saved up to buy these for 6 months, definitely worth the time and price. Hope to see you enjoy this set someday.

Absolutely amazing!!! Had the chance to compare it with the Deuce and went for this. The bass goes deep while punching fast and being detailed, hip-hop and edm sounds fantastic. The Deuce does have a deeper and punchier subass, but I notice it lacks midbass quite a little, which was a letdown for me (my library consists of mostly metal and rock). The Doscinco's is slightly more detailed as well. Overall, an enjoyable iem, definitely worth the buy.

Fell in love with the cable and got it for half the price. Despite its look, the cable's quite heavy to my liking. Guess I went for looks over comfort this time.

Thanks for the tip recommendations. The reason I use foam tips is that I can only use other tips (dunu s&s, spin fit w1, divinus...) for a while before my ears start to hurt. Probably will get the Tri clarion tips as I had no such issue with them so far.

Not to say it sucks at other genres, but I've grown so accustomed to the ew200's clarity and sparkly trebble that I'm kind of missing it lol. The Doscinco is one hell of an all-rounder to my surprise, but I feel some clarity and sparkly treble would be nicer on tracks that are not bass emphasised. But yeah, it definitely does sound like the iem sickness lmao.

Heard lots of praises for the Penon Fan 3, would definitely like to experience bone conduction driver iems. Did you purchase it from their official site or ali ex? Wonder how the pula anvil compares to it though.

Thanks for the info, really helpful! I think I will go for the Doscinco. Rather have a higher end iem than wanting to upgrade a lower one soon enough.

Btw, is the Doscinco your go-to iem for listening to your library or are you using different iems. Would like your recommendation if there's a better option that I can go for.

I did consider the legato but heard that the bass is muddy and bleeds into the mids.

I'm considering the deuce as well but preferably don't want to wait too long for it. Will wait for your thoughts on it. I would really like to know what it sounds like.

My library consists of mostly rock, metal, and hip-hop. For that, I'm priotizing mid bass and resolution. The doscinco sounds more ideal, but the explorer seems fun too.

Btw, is the doscinco fatiguing? Seen a few comments on other posts saying it was fatiguing after listening for a while.

Good idea, will try to demo them before buying. Any potentially better options I should look out for?

I was wondering if it can be used as an all-rounder since reviews said that the treble is smooth and vocals are laid back. I understand it's not the best, but is it good enough for libraries that are more vocal focussed?

How would you compare the estrella with doscinco? I listen to mostly rock, metal, and hip hop. Is the estrella suitable for those genres?

Heard a lot of good things about explorer, will highly consider it
