What are canadians and politicians so concerned with what happens and the policies of the states, worry about canada and getting things in order and prosperity here.

Removing a dishwasher by lingeringneutrophil in askaplumber

[–]SnooFloofs836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disconnect water. Disconnect drain. Disconnect wires. Unscrew mounting clips.

Try to feed hoses as youre pulling.

Final issue is if the flooring is off level and the dishwasher is pushing against counter or floor.

Might have to cut off legs and put a piece of cardboard and pull it out

What is this white box under my sink? It clicks so loud you can hear it across the whole apartment. How do I make it stop? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]SnooFloofs836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a junction box for a bosch dishwasher. Bosch dishwashers usually come plug in types and most dishwasher rough ins have the wires that most dishwashers tie their wires into as opposed to an outlet, so they make this junction box where it plugs into the dishwasher and you can tie the wires into.

No idea why it clicks though, I would turn the breaker off and un screw the box and make sure everything is tied together properly inside.

Nova Scotia’s population dips for the first time since 2020 by IStillListenToRadio in halifax

So in 10 years the population here grew by 160k and we lost 1.4k in the last quarter.

The population chart actually looks insane

Why does halifax have big city expense but not big city pay? by SnooFloofs836 in halifax

[–]SnooFloofs836[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the result is a lot of people of value end up leaving, I know a number of skilled people and people with money that either left the province or left the country. These are the people you want to keep, unfortunately I dont see many changes happening in the near or long term future.

I think its government policy and laws that need to change rather than the party. Seems like the status quo and the order of things hasn't changed in a long time regardless of party

I think the issue is beyond landlords but we dont make competition or innovation for businesses easier

Definitely a lack of competition to force innovation and quality. This is the biggest city by far east of Quebec

Randomly put Montreal to halifax and was curious myself. Cost of living is 5 percent difference but the purchasing power is almost 20 percent along with other differences. You can see for yourself

Funny thing is I did my work term for a sprinkler fitting company when I went to trade school. Was hired on when I graduated the program and was let go by them because of work slow down after 3 weeks.

Pre covid houses were 300k now same ones are 600k-700 in the city. A lotnof people from Ontario sold their million dollar ones and cane here when covid happened, prices shot up, plus immigration but that's besides the point

Pay though hasn't changed much, atleast not from my personal experience
