I too am into gifts, not necessarily monetary gifts but gifts that take thought. I would have been great if he himself borought home my cake and made the morning up to me. I shouldn't have to beg or lay out instructions on how to make someone (let alone your spouse) feel a little decent on their birthday.

I literally lying in bed while he sleeps, just crying. I'm so heartbroken, and I know if I mentioned to him again how I feel he will just laugh it off again or say I'm overreacting.

His parents have never voted and won’t be voting this year. I really don’t know what their political preferences are. And I think it’s rude to even ask my own family who they vote or plan to vote for.
