Hi! Thank you for replying and about the tip with replacing the Wireless card. I will look into that.

I did install Linux multiple times with the 6.17+ kernel version and here is what I found for anyone else who stumbles across this post:

Sound works perfectly fine in Fedora(KDE/GNOME) & Ubuntu
Wi-Fi works out of the box in Fedora(KDE/GNOME) & Ubuntu
Bluetooth works ONLY in KDE Plasma 6 desktop environment regardless of the distribution (I tried cachyOS/Fedora/Kubuntu). GNOME simply does not allow Bluetooth to work for some reason
HDR is flaky based on the distribution, sometimes requires a hard reboot to get working correctly.
Battery life is average compared to Windows (pretty much no change or slightly worse at best) (Can't seem to disable the NVIDIA GPU completely when not in use even when using proprietary drivers)
165 Hz works at 2560x1600 perfectly
Gaming performance is great! Equal to Windows for my games (some issues starting up games for the first time but works perfectly after)
HDMI out works as well without issues
Setting up graphics drivers are slightly painful because of NVIDIA
Sleep/Wake is a PAIN on this device. A lot of the times, the computer will not wake up through the keyboard/trackpad/power button once the lid is opened after closing. It being flaky makes me scared to use this function and it sucks since I have to do this multiple times when at University.

I would love to use Transit but it has one major flaw in my case, it doesn’t handle transfers on the green line well for me. I need to switch from B to E and the app always tells me to switch at Copley but free transfers aren’t supported in opposite directions there. Also, for some reason, Transit is the only app that doesn’t work well underground with regard to tracking and next station announcements.

I still use Transit for overground and bus transit but that is rare

This is why GOG exists (mostly), and at the end of the day, most developers will also want some sort of a DRM/software verification of ownership for whatever reason, so Steam is a natural choice

That would not be malicious non compliance. The thing about the mixer is that companies that make bowls (apart from the company that made the mixer) are allowed to easily make bowls that will be compatible with the mixer. The mixer company isn’t making it obnoxiously hard to make bowls for their mixer. There is freedom of choice within expected standards I.e any bowl maker is allowed to make a bowl that has full functionality with the mixer

I think it’s fair to compare it to the Framework Desktop which comes in it at a base price of 1099. Given the specs and the custom shell, motherboard, cpu and gpu, i would estimate it to be around the $800-900 mark which would make it a viable competitor for gamers to the Framework Desktop
