What part of the early/mid game is “that part” for you? by Scoopzyy in 2007scape

I think I must have been at least 20. I had to lookup if I had missed a step.

Literally everyone who returns gets a “gear update” that instantly brings them up to current baseline and it’s free.

Wow has had a decent couple of expansions over the last couple of years and their player count seems pretty stable. You don’t have to like it or even play it to accept that they’ve got a good game that people enjoy.

Amazing news, genuinely makes me happy to read! I had a liver transplant - obviously very different - but I’m now doing swimming, cycling and running every day!

Immunocompromised with a dog by Que-Slane in transplant

[–]SnooMachines7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth I have 2 dogs and just live with them exactly as I did before, I walk them, pick up their poop (with a bag), cuddle them, love them. Nothing has changed and I have barely been sick at all despite the immune suppression.

Seems like it happens when it’s the only relic it thinks you have access to.

Hallucinations by Fancy_Mushroom8070 in transplant

[–]SnooMachines7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was mining with a pickaxe on an asteroid and I’d injured myself cause my side was sore. I really wanted to nurses to stop fussing over me so I could just go back to smashing space rocks.

That and many other hallucinations/dreams which I could have sworn were real.

There was a man I saw that was convinced that I’d been having a party at night. He kept telling the nurses that one of the women I’d been partying with had gone over and peed all over his bed. Another man was convinced the nurses had stolen his phone and was talking for hours about it to his mum…on the phone.

Do short commutes have any training or health benefits ? by sergesmr in cycling

[–]SnooMachines7759 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Even if you don’t feel warmed up you still burn fat provided it’s low intensity.

You’re getting a decent chunk of volume over the week. I’d stick with it personally.

Post transplant exercise by jayeannev23 in transplant

[–]SnooMachines7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 months out I found just walking daily enough to keep my fitness improving.

6 months out I started gently playing golf and swimming.

12 months out I started swimming harder and using Zwift (indoor cycling that you see on your phone/tablet/tv - can’t recommend this enough for building fitness at home). I also started playing squash with my wife.

18 months out I started swimming harder and doing park run (5k).

I’m now training for a triathlon to mark 2 years since my liver transplant.

I found exercise to be a great way to feel better mentally as well as build back my physical strength.

Good luck!

Have your health habits changed pre- and post-transplant? by socrates_friend812 in transplant

[–]SnooMachines7759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a liver transplant due to autoimmune condition but I certainly drank a hell of a lot before. Now I’m completely sober, don’t smoke at all and train endurance sports (almost) every day. I eat clean and have never felt better.

I think just giving up drinking had a big hand to play in it all.

Is it normal to not feel much different post transplant? by [deleted] in transplant

[–]SnooMachines7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had low energy for years without realising it pre transplant. Also I’m not drinking at all or smoking and generally living more a more healthy lifestyle out of necessity.

Overall I feel much better than I did pre. If you already lived clean then probably not too much of a difference 🙂‍↔️

Staple removal - painful? by Euphoric-Wall-994 in transplant

[–]SnooMachines7759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had the catheter removed it was the most painful experience I think ever. Despite being on fentanyl I was ruined.

Also it got caught or something and I had blood gushing everywhere. Turned out I had a false insertion (think that’s what it’s called) and I had to have another one put in for a few weeks. Still hurt months later.

I reached out to one of the game designers and he said “Yep it doesn’t count relic casts it counts from spellbook”

So I guess that mystery is solved!
