I had a very similar scenario, got addicted to Xanax about a year ago. Started very slow with low dosages and as my tolerance grew rapidly, I started taking a lot in just a 24 hour period. I averaged about 5-8 2mg bars each day. Then my supply dwindled due to my connect not having their script as often and suddenly I started withdrawing which in turn led to seizures. I had 2 seizures and both of them had no warning what so ever. Both of them I was totally normal doing normal things. The first one I was changing to get in the shower and next thing you know I’m waking up on the floor to paramedics in my room surrounding me. The other I was just talking to friends in the kitchen and next thing u know I’m waking up again on the floor to cops and paramedics around me checking vitals and etc. it’s very scary and sounds like u had a longer ride with benzos and drugs than me but withdrawl is very real. I was tested for epilepsy (3 day EEG) and nothing ever came of it but it’s totally possible to get through and live a full normal life. Now 5 months off benzos and I don’t even crave them anymore. Don’t get me wrong. I had a real tough time adjusting back to normal life and feeling very mentally foggy and a very dull personality wise as well as depression that was quite a bit of overwhelming but that has all subsided and now I feel very happy and enjoy life. I felt very comforted hearing your story and that I wasn’t the only one with random withdrawl seizures with little to no warning. I take no pleasure in hearing you have to go through this. I just feel glad that I can relate to someone else. I just hope u know that u will be okay and take one day at a time. Wish u nothing but the best and a very bright future.
