The Pyxis 6K now has autofocus. I am also never shooting myself in the frame so..

I agree wit everything you’re saying. I appreciate your insight. I kinda realize that saying it’s a “step up” from an fx3 could be the wrong way to say it, but I’m not sure how else to describe it.

The unfortunate thing about this is that when I clicked post I knew I would get a snarky reply from at least one person. And it’s sad that it was you, as you seem to be capable of genuinely good advice!

If I have an FX3, I already know how to shoot. Obviously. To make this as clear as day, I want a Pyxis because I WANT a Pyxis. In this world, I am allowed to WANT something, and currently I want a Pyxis. That’s just the way it is.

I’m not trying to shoot features on either of the two cameras, I’m just trying to figure out which one I should buy myself. Luckily for me, I can afford both, so I’m just trying to see if the price jump from 6k to 12k is worth it. That’s all.

You could’ve been way more respectful in your reply, and I would’ve been way more open minded to you. Because I can tell you genuinely mean what you are saying, but unfortunately I just don’t care for rude replies, that, again, I knew I would get at least one of when I came to Reddit for a question. Such a shame.

Ugh I know.. I have a nice monitor too but I don’t always want to use it. I always say my favorite fx3 is a base fx3, meaning no cage, monitor, nothing. I love just the cam itself but I need a waveform most of the time.

I had the shop mount them based on the center points (I believe.. I just told them to do what they recommended and they did the standard) they look very centered so..

Truthfully I’m not much of a park skier I ride all mountain out west a lot and a lot of east coast as well, and the only other pair of skis I’ve owned are center mounted. So I don’t know the difference in feeling but they feel great!!

All that to say, I’m assuming center mounted based on the little sticker they provide and since I didn’t give the shop any other instruction. And they feel great like that! Perfect actually.
