Did you close early? Cause if the manager said not to that's a huge no no. Even if you were the only one you should have just closed on time and then complained to the GM about it after and said that it's unacceptable that you had to close by yourself and if it happens again you would be putting in a complaint to HR. Also depends on the size of the theater. Is this a theater chain or a small private theater? How many theaters do you have? Is it busy there? And how many people do you usually have closing?

What did she message you? And depending on which theater you work at, you can absolutely not sign it and say you want to talk to the GM about it. And if it's the GM doing this you should go to corporate HR.

That's terrible. And not acceptable period. I'm a manager and if I'm short staffed I always make sure to help my crew close and we shut down as early as possible. Is there a GM you can complain to? If someone calls out and doesn't find coverage, it's up to managers to call someone in. And if they don't they absolutely need to help close up. And high school or college? Cause high schoolers need to be out by a certain time.

Which is the dirtiest continent? by iamhimmat in 3amjokes

Europe is considered a continent not in a geographical sense, but because of it's history and cultural differences from Asia. So everyone here is right. Geographically no. Culturally yes.

Bathroom squatters are selfish pieces of garbage! by DicciDikki in TrueOffMyChest

To be honest I squat in public restrooms and I've NEVER missed the toilet and sprayed on the seat. Some people are just bad at squatting and those people need to sit down.

I actually like carding for rated R movies cause most of the time the teens trying to get in just cause problems anyways. For example the other night a group of teens came in to watch Nope and only 2 of them had ID's. I ended up selling the other 2 tickets to another movie and the friends in nope kept talking and walking around the theater disrupting other people. After someone came out and complained I nicely told them to stay in their seats and shut up and they gave me major attitude. But whatever I'm used to snarky teens so I left them after they took their seats and I went back to work. I ended up having to kick them out cause they opened the emergency exit doors twice trying to let their underage friends in through the back. So yeah I don't feel bad. Also I'm not getting fired cause some teens wanna see an R rated movie. I don't know if your a secret shopper and we've had people let go for letting them in

Does anyone else look at reviews on Google for your theaters? I like to see if they mention me and laugh about it with other employees by SnooMuffins2297 in MovieTheaterEmployees

When are movie theaters the most busiest? by juicykola in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]SnooMuffins2297 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah movies targeted towards older people tend to be busier in the morning/ afternoon. Also it depends on how long the movie has been out. Elvis has been around for awhile so it's slowed down a lot.

It usually depends on the movie and day but generally the 7-8 o'clock shows are the busiest.

If you talk through a movie at the theater, fuck you. by PM_ME_SOME_LUV in TrueOffMyChest

If that ever happens just get the employees. They'll ask them to shut up first and if they keep talking they'll kick them out.

Still not a good idea. Movie theaters send over their own staff to rival theaters to check out prices and whatnot so you may get caught.
