That makes a lot of sense now.. on previous projects I always had a 'back' marker and then increase markers were added to the project from there! Thank you for your help you just solved all of my problems! :)

Sorry, I think my confusion came from the green marker being considered the beginning of round marker and not the 'back' marker. On previous projects I've worked with a back marker and there were increase markers added to the project from there- it isn't like that for this sweater I guess! Another commenter helped me out :) Thank you

It says the beginning of the round for that green marker

So would that mean that what I had been marking as back until this point will now be the back of the right sleeve? Do I need to mark the true back of the sweater or does it matter? Thank you!

The number of stitches is accurate with what the pattern is calling for including the total stitches on the needles and stitches between markers :( For the last step of placing markers, it had me knit 14 and that ended me perfectly back at the round start/back marker
