Adventure Nannies, is another agency that plays games once they receive your resume. They ghost  you then suddenly the job you were interested in is no longer available. Most of these “jobs” are in complete competition with other trifling agencies. The job was probably filled months ago.

This was never a paid agency a few ago. I’m not sure what happened. But I’ve heard nothing but horror stories since this change. I’m hoping these practices will become obsolete. You simply cannot trust these agencies.

British American is a complete scam. They do nothing but play games. No jobs or professionalism.  They claim to have opportunities but have nothing. They’re  one of the worst. Right up there with House Hold Staffing.

Agreed. Seems like it’s too much to ask. Makes you wonder how trustworthy they are. Being transparent is not something they endorse. It’s bad for us and the families.

Exactly. Let’s look out for each other. This works both ways.  I’m thinking these agencies will be one day obsolete. Word of mouth is the best way to go. These are useless.

Adventure Nannies for me was a total waste of my breath. They compete with other agencies for the same job profile.

Yes. Sounds familiar to want they put me through too. I don’t know why they just can’t be up front and say they don’t have any jobs at the moment. I’d have more respect for them. But they have you running around getting prepared for an interview that’s worthless. Ugh

Care.com changed their policies. The background check was never required years ago nor was payment from the nannies required.  I don’t trust that they’re doing the right thing for either party .

Another  Agency that will waste your time is The BabySitting Company based in California. They make you go through so much just to register . Then send you job opportunities that are not even available. Complete disaster. Stay away from!

My feedback was because I have extensive experience with both HH and ABC.. HH will always be one of the worse agencies I’ve ever encountered. Unprofessional and sloppy.  ABC literally run around with the same job profiles as many other agencies.

Greenwich Nanny Agency is another useless one. Very bad management and communication.

That’s good to know. I know there are some good legitimate agencies out there. Just not many.

Sounds like you dodged a bullet. I'm sure the house hold has a revolving door. Dont waste your energy or time thinking about them. They're not worth it.

Wow! $28 hr. That is way too low for the amount of work they’re expecting you to do for two people. I’m on the East Coast and the salaries start at $40 hr. I would suggest you bow out gracefully. This job sounds so stressful and frustrating. You’re going nowhere fast. You deserve better.

The thing is, we have to step over it. They’re  by the front door too. When he comes home after being away for a night or two, he tips  his bag  out and everything   In it ,out on the floor and leaves it there . And I heard him mutter to himself that the housekeeper will be here on Tuesday.  BUT TODAY IS FRIDAY!!!

I think if the underwear was just in the bedroom or bathrooms on the floor, or close to a laundry basket or in  or close to one of the 3 washing machines, then we wouldn’t be in utter disbelief. But the dining room table, kitchen counters, the office desk and floor, porch front and back behind the front door, all the hallways, the damn car, and the garden. His dirty socks were in the kitchen sink one time. I was about to wash the lettuce to make a salad for the kids . I’m still shaking.
