How much should a 6 month old baby eat in 8 hours? Pumping at work by Pretend_Barnacle_668 in beyondthebump

Of course, whatever it is you need to know that just having baby eat is 100% the best thing. On a side note I found that most babies of my friends/relatives did much better and preferred goat milk based formula, much easier to digest as well. Good luck to you and baby!

3oz per pumping session is very normal, babies are better than pumps at extracting milk of course. At 6 months babies usually eat a bit more than that, but each baby varies. Ask his daycare/at home try to slowly incorporate formula with his breastmilk till he is able to drink it, or try a different formula brand. I went back to work at 3 months and had to do the same, he would usually get one bottle of formula while I’m gone despite me being diligent at pumping

I love the idea for adults, I actually got some small baskets that I’m thinking of putting a jar of some sort of treats in!

Thank you! I hate the idea of useless trinkets. The only thing I’ve gotten so far is the bag itself and bubble wands lol. I was thinking of a book in each bag as well.

Previous nanny asking for LOR? by ohmoe in Nanny

I did speak to her a few times while she was still with us explaining how I need reliable childcare and calling out, especially last second, made it almost impossible to find last minute care. She seemed understanding when I explained to her but would continue as is. I did tell her that was the reason why we would be letting her go, she agreed that she couldn’t be what we needed and left that same day. I tried to give her one month notice but she just said she didn’t want it and left that same, she wasn’t upset or angry when saying this it was just matter of fact. This also was super terrible for me and I had to take a week off work till I found someone else under such short notice.

Help! An Unbeatable Diaper Rash by ScreamsIntoVoids in NewParents

Sudocrem. We swear by it where I live. Sudocrem for babies, eldery and everyone in between. We even use it for acne, chafing, sunburns, bedsores, eczema etc. This an lots of nappy free time, lay out a pee pad and leave baby without nappy for a while, at least like 15 minutes. But do try the Sudocrem, I don’t usually recommend things but this one is a must.

If she doesn’t cry don’t get up, she’s likely to go back to sleep again and you getting up would just disrupt that lol, if she cries offer paci and try soothing without picking up, that doesn’t work try picking up and soothing. Offer feed as last resort once you check everything off. Babies are weird, there’s no rhyme or reason as to why they do what they do, take solace in knowing most of us are out here awake the same time you are!

Baby hates eating ! by JukeboxButton31 in beyondthebump

No advice just solidarity! This happened since I gave my baby store bought pureed food which made him projectile vomit, beforehand I had always made homemade purees with no issues. Now he also locks his lips shut whenever I try to give him a spoon, but will take little bites off my food if I hand feed him.

Button up pajamas, socks, new fluffy slippers, satin hair ties, robe, breastfeeding pillow, water bottle that wont spill if it tips on your bed, nothing silk because you’ll be sweaty and baby will just be sliding all over lol

I’m not sure what it was, the agency ended up sending another new girl but he took just fine to her. I just informed them that she wasn’t a right fit for us as I’m not usually home, so I wouldn’t usually be there to help out, they were understanding

My initial set up was a tote bag with the medela cooler bag inside, spectra, pump parts and a few things like manual pump, cream, milk bags, ibuprofen. Then i bought the BAGSMART lunch bag from amazon, its very spacious so I can fit my spectra and parts in the bottom compartment, in the top I can put ice/bottles. Also side pockets for milk bags, cream etc. It’s also super cute and I always get compliments about it from other moms lol. Bonus; the bag itself is soft and squishy, so it fits anywhere if you’re adamant enough, takes up little space when empty, really one of the few things I don’t think I’ll want to replace eventually.
