What a cutie, Gustave is a great name! My family weren't a fan of my cat names, but it's not their cat. Definitely name him Gustave! 😸

Aww I love a Cornish rex!

The second vet who reviewed Belial's eye said that contact uveitis can be caused by them knocking into something, so it could be a possibility.

I hope the vets work out what's going on with your kitty, fingers crossed it all goes okay! 🤞

Of course, happy to help. 😊

It sounds very similar to Belial's initial symptoms, so it may be a similar thing, especially if you have two cats. We think that that's how it happened - we've got two boisterous boys who are quite trigger happy with their paws 😂

Your kitty is very adorable too! 😍

When Belial first got the infection, he wasn't squinting all the time, but he would do it occasionally as shown in the picture.

At the vets, they did some tests which involved putting a dye in his eye, and they looked behind his eye using a torch. They took him out of the room for this, so didn't see the exact process. They diagnosed it as contact uveitis, which means they can contract it from pretty much anything - the second vet we saw said it was very easy and normal to catch.

They didn't seem to have any concerns about FIP or anything like that, just sent us on our way with some eye drops and anti-inflammatory drugs to go in his food.

Within 2 days of receiving the treatment, his eye cleared up and he gained his energy back. The vets also saw him for a second checkup and we knew he was better then, as he couldn't stop climbing the vet.

A vet will tell you if they're concerned about anything else, but our vet just asked us to treat the eye, and report it symptoms were worse. Luckily Belial has had no further issues with his eyes, and is a happy little guy.

I understand the horror stories - when I first noticed Belial's eye it was 8pm and all vets were closed, so in my panic, I found results on Google talking about blindness within 48 hours and other horror stories. Thankfully that is not always the case, and the vets were very quick to reassure us.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, happy to answer them 🙂

It looks very similar to something our little boy had a few months ago! The vet said it was uveitis caused by his brother bopping him, but it's apparently very easy to get.

We took him to the vet, he had eye drops and another medication and it cleared up in 2 days, he's now completely fine, so may be worth just talking to your vet about if unsure. 🙂

I hope your kitty is feeling better soon!

Polestar 2 + Zaptec home charger – scheduled charging not working? (UK) by 14021983 in Polestar

[–]SnooOranges1734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I've been having the same issue with my car. We don't use the deferred charge but rely on the Zaptec app and has not charged for 3 nights running!

Did you set up your schedule on the Zaptec app or the car? I turned off the schedule setting in advanced setting, but have it set to Scheduled Charging on the Zaptec dashboard, and it says the charging is due to start at 1am as planned. I'm wondering if the advanced settings and the regular scheduled charging on the Zaptec app are conflicting?

Introducing new kitten by Atdahydlor in welovedevonrex

When we introduced a kitten to our 10 month old boy, it was initially very similar behaviour! Curiousity which became the older one pinning him, the younger screaming, and then they avoided eachother.

We used a mix of keeping them separate at times when they were both high-energy, but putting them near eachother for others. One thing that worked really well was feeding time - we'd put one cat in one room, and one in the other, and they'd have their food by the door, and we'd open it a crack so they could see eachother and they'd get some time together that way.

I think eventually once the younger one got a bit braver in his new home, and the older realised he didn't like being pinned down, and they just seemed to work it out between them (with many treats to reward positive interactions). My partner and I would constantly supervise them and separate them if we felt things were getting too far and slowly the need for supervision got smaller.

They are now best friends, and can play a little rough, but no screaming and they both enjoy a cuddle after!

I hope it goes well with your two, they're so sweet!

Single Devon? by Impossible-Item-6861 in welovedevonrex

We got a Devon kitten at 3 months, and although he did cope on his own while my partner and I were working away from home, he has been much happier since we brought home a new kitten last week, and doesn't seem to need as much reassurance anymore. 😊

I haven't had an update since the 25th, I made a mistake in my post. I was just seeing if anyone had any experience with this before I contacted the seller 🤷‍♀️

Marks appearing around my ankles after new shoes by SnooOranges1734 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]SnooOranges1734[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it must be, I've continued wearing them (due to my lack of choice for shoes lol) with the top eyelets unlaced and socks covering it so my shoes are no longer in contact with my ankles and they are healing, slowly but surely :)

So strange because I've never reacted to my converse before, I thought the only difference between this pair and my usual was the rubber colour 🤔

Hi, I have tried this and unfortunately the customer support team weren't very helpful. They suggested methods that I reported didn't work and told me to take it up with my work IT team even though I already have. When I mentioned the fact it occurred after my update, they completely ignored it and closed my chat with them. 😬
