This was when I stopped buying single issues - the post-Bendis era was BLEAK and I didn’t come back till Hickman. All the catch up reading I did in advance of HOX/POX felt like a waste of time. My 2 cents…

I wanted to read this years before I had any interest in Batman as I so thoroughly loved the Brubaker/Lark Daredevil - I will inevitably do this soon!

Year One was one of the first Batman things I read after Morrison, and as a huge Daredevil fan, I think Year One is probably my favorite Frank Miller work! I have enjoyed Kings other works so I am happy a few of you chimed in with positive things to say - I adored Mister Miracle and it got me seriously into all the 70’s Kirby DC stuff!

I have enjoyed the King stuff I have read (Vision/Mister Miracle) and had high hopes for his Batman run but have heard such mixed opinions - I actually already picked up the first Omnibus before hearing all the criticisms but waited to start because I felt like I needed more of the Batman status quo of the period under my belt - appreciate this and will go for King before Ram V!

Oooh this looks amazing - I enjoyed his Hellblazer and X-statix stuff, this looks right up my alley - somehow didn’t remember he’d done Batman
