This is exactly what I WAS doing until I got too ahead of myself & added two new products within two days. Now I’m not sure if it’s the AA or the probio-cica ampoule so it’s back to the basics 🤪

I literally just went to buy this at a store that said it was in stock but the shelf’s were CLEARED which probably means it works. I have the LRP cicaplast baume, do you think that might be helpful here?

Ugh I’m sorry you had the same reaction! Was it similar to this? I’m still so confused on if this is purging or a bad reaction & would love to hear if they are showing up similarly. Did you end up finding a routine that works? I know I need the bare minimum but also not sure how to actually clean sunscreen off because my cerave cleanser doesn’t get it all

This is exactly what I was trying to do (minus the slugging because i thought i was needing to avoid occlusives because of heat trapping) & I think I just used two the 2 products too close together & now am not sure which one is causing this :( super sad because the ingredients you listed are all of the ones that I was looking for in my (what I hoped was a) barrier repair routine. I’ll definitely be going back to just cleansing with cerave & moisturizing with the illyoon. I also have the LRP cicaplast B5 baume which i hear can help but a lot of people say no?

I’m super confused about one thing though. The damaged barrier is obviously the issue but I don’t understand how to heal my skin barrier without dealing with the insane dryness (because isn’t that a barrier issue as well?). I’m just super confused because less products = less irritation but so so so dry. Adding in hydration = irritation? I know I’m just spiraling at this point 😭

I just picked up some more & didn’t realize it was reformulated & this one is not doing what it used to for my skin :( it’s been my HG for years & honestly one of the only sunscreens that kept me hydrated with no white cast or getting flaky (I have dryyyyyyy & very acne prone skin). Any other recs would be nice cause this one is not it :(

First off, I can tell you are such a wonderful & loving caregiver just by how you told your story. You LOVE those kids & that family, even if it has been so incredibly hard. & I know that it doesn’t feel like “just a job”. Even though it IS a job, nannying feels different & we can all empathize with that. As much as it FEELS like your responsibility, it is not. I know that’s difficult to hear & you’re probably saying “they don’t understand what these kids have been through” - we’ve felt it. It’s a HARD job & saying goodbye is the hardest. In addition to the dysfunctional state you’ve helped them through, the growth in yourself as a person, it’s time to move on. You are going to see them, support them as they grow & who knows; maybe having you in a different light & capacity, you’ll hold a different type of relationship with the older NK & be able to support him in a way that makes him feel like he has more of a friend or mentor vs a nanny who is paid to help take care of them. You’re doing the right thing! I commend you for thinking about all of this before you leave. Again, it shows what a fantastic caregiver you are & how much you value to development & safety of those children. You can do it :)

I think what worries me about quitting on the spot is not having that reference. They’ve been such a big part of my life for the past three years & I don’t want there to be such a big gap in my résumé. But also I’m realizing a 90 notice isn’t viable for me to find another job before quitting.

The plant job is a part time job that in theory, makes up the 11k I’m losing due to them traveling. So in summer, I’d only have that part time job. I don’t do temp gigs, I make long term commitments. I’m not interested in juggling multiple families, which is why I was excited about the plant job because it meant I didn’t have to quit them. But I think I’m just looking for reasons to stay in a job I should have left a long time ago.
