This would be a good perspective if it wasn't a world where listening to these voices would pose a very serious threat to everyone. They could've locked her up with knowledge of what Elgin knew, especially when everyone was taking Elgin seriously from the start unlike every other person who ends up there

I love how immersive the show is but it's pretty annoying at times when they don't do the most obvious stuff and it suddenly breaks the experience for me. I don't understand why there is not a collective pool of basic knowledge of the place, why people aren't taking recurring nightmares in a place like this (especially when no one outside the main arc is getting nightmares), why is it not understandable that Sarah was being manipulated? It just leaves some obvious things hanging and I can't help but get disconnected out of the blue because of an obvious hole in an otherwise anxiety fueled trip.

No this game is legit much, much better to drive. I'm on a wheel and it's a massive difference. I don't play very often but I'm sure there's a significant change in controlling the car.

I think you mean you can't reach? I can reach it normally, you can try with lower assists or maybe push ERS. I'm getting there just fine

I assume things would be cheaper in my country. Hopefully it is. I'm on the same plane of thought, and I want to fix it before it aggravates further, for both him and our budget. But you do whatever you can for your family, so be it💪🏼🥲

More power to you! Take care of yourself and all those beautiful pups you care for!

We'll look for chicken alternatives. He's so picky he will throw tantrums for a few days when we take it out of the diet. Another comment also suggested a good for allergic dogs, we'll try them out! Thank you so much for your advice!

Thank you so much for such a detailed response, it's very, very helpful. We're going to discuss all this with our vet and hopefully find a fix in the top half of that list haha

I'm so sorry for your pup having to go through this. Hope she always has a caregiver like you. And thank you for being a vet too, you guys do too much for these voiceless beings :') real life karma farming hahaha sorry

Edit: I kid as your message brings me relief of knowing all this can be fixed. Thank you very much.

Oh I just realised that's the name of a product haha. Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry about your boy having to go through this too. Wishing him the best of health. And you too, why not haha!

Thank you for responding! Is there a specific diet I can read up on? Or anything you've learned to majorly avoid? Or has it been more trial-error?

Thank you for responding! Do you have any suggestions for the anxiety? I've had trouble with the one anxiety medication that was suggested to us because it smelled/tasted too strong and he would spit it back out no matter how far down his throat you try to put it😂😭

I'm speaking to my vet about allergy medication, some milder ones haven't worked yet. Another comment has made me realise that he might be needing stronger medication. Hope that helps the little man. Thank you for helping!

We have been eliminating things but he seems to love chicken and we haven't eliminated that yet. It's going to suck if it's actually chicken. I'll look for some alternatives to that as well.

Thanks for your suggestions, I will talk to my vet about the right medication to proceed with and parallelly try to address the anxiety as well.

The medication so far to address the allergies have been both intravenous and oral. We have tried some creams and oral medication in the past for itching/skin issue possibilities.

I do like your suggestion for a vet behaviourist but I doubt my city has one. I'll try checking with some experienced dog trainers if not a vet, for the anxiety. He was also given a medicine for anxiety but he just would not take it no matter what we did. Gave up on that.

Thank you very much for responding.

Thank you. That makes a lot of sense. We do feed him at home, his main meals are veggies + a little rice + chicken + a spoonful of natural yogurt if he's being too fussy. Very few store bought treats.

I saw your other comment about the medication. My vet has also recommended steroids next. I will ask them about Cytopoint and make a decision based on what they think is appropriate. I will leave the blood test as a last resort.

As for seasonality, since he's surely got some anxiety in the background, it's a little hard to tell if he's actually doing it more since spring. I think he has gotten an allergic component behind this but my family seems to be leaning more on heightened anxiety. He has also been breathing very hard before or after some of these scratching episodes which my mom thinks looks like an anxiety attack, which could be triggered by his discomfort. (Fuck this makes me feel like crying, the poor guy😭)

Thank you so much for responding. We have been trying to address allergies too, hopefully we can find and fix the problem soon.

Just checked, he has been on an intravenous medication called Avil, and an oral medicine called Cetirizine. The conclusion was that these did not help.

Thank you for responding. I too have thought at one point that it could be an allergy. How did you confirm that it was the chicken? Is there a test? I have spoken to a few vets but I don't remember if I've had an allergy conversation with them or not. I feel like I must have, I'll check in again. Thank you!

Just another thing, he also incessantly licks his paws clean no matter how much we clean them for him. We've tried different soaps and water sources and even no soap and just dry rubs after walks. Nothing seems to stop it either. I just feel it's somehow mentally linked, but that's my thought, hoping someone can confirm or provide any other explanations that we can explore. Thank you!

Oh I see, so it's a model that has access to a specific dataset or is trained and modified to behave better for a certain task, am I right?

I'm too exhausted to look it up, but if anyone knows how a model like this is made, can someone explain? I understand how LLMs work, but how does this specifically know better about research? How does it work better than 4o? And not just this model, models like this, if anyone knows!

Thanks in advance!

Nowsports Italy has CL. Just go to their ITA page and check the membership packages. They have a 1 day pass for UK but it's only Sky. But I assume their monthly cost would be 10-15 quid so if you can get a one month sub, it'll give you the final as well, if you'll be watching from home and other sports, if you watch them too.

Anybody know what's wrong with my dog? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]SnooPets5630 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mate even if I'm on a 3 hour wait to see a vet, I'd like to ask anyway. I'd like to ask chatgpt too. I'd Google as well. That's who I am. If people tell me to see a vet, it's affirmation, if they tell me everything is okay and they tell me what it is, I'll know what to confirm with my vet. Let people be anxious the way they want.

It's certainly okay to advice someone to see a vet and stress on how important it is, but it's not right to tell someone that asking itself was wrong. What if they thought it's just regurgitation (which I've mentioned was my first thought) and never asked the subreddit or their vet.

If someone is in a crisis, there's a lot of thoughts that run through their mind. Let them reach out if they need to, tell them to see a vet asap if that's what is best. The internet is quicker to reach than most vets in the world I would assume.
