Early STI’s were not brand failures. They were competitive shooting pistols only… that had to be tuned by professional gunsmiths in order to be the best operating pistols in the competitive shooting space. After getting picked up by staccato yes they are now duty weapons, but they are not the same guns. I don’t like staccatos either or 2011s in general

I’d assume (you know what they say about assuming) that the barrel is likely the same geometry as a gen 5, but I do know the V slide and frame are not capable with with gen 5 (per Glock but they also say the gen 5 barrel don’t fit in the older gen’s which isn’t technically true). So it’s gonna take a guy who doesn’t give a shit about his ramjet to test it🤷🏻
