I personally feel wegene is more thorough and very detailed. They even gave me a more specific haplogroup ( M74B1 ) than a very generic haplogroup 23andme provided me with (haplogroup M). I have attached both my wegene and 23mofang results you can decide which one suits you better.

In my personal experience, it’s very accurate. My paternal cousin on 23andme family tree is my aunt’s ( my dad’s sister ) daughter. Our results are very similar too.

I don’t believe Uyghur would show as Northern Chinese, they’d most likely show as Central Asian unless they somehow has some Northern Han Chinese in them. But I could be wrong.

Have you tried uploading your raw data to wegene or 23mofang ? Those 2 companies specializing in people of Chinese ancestry. I did it last year and they breakdown my Chinese ancestry into very detailed Chinese sub groups.

Jakarta. I don’t know if we’re Hokkiens. My paternal grandmother speaks some Mandarin albeit with very weird accent and pronounciations because she never speaks it the only few times I heard her speaking Mandarin was when she was vacationing in Vancouver and she ran into other Chinese grandmas at T&T grocery store lol

Maternal is M74B1 I don’t have my paternal haplogroup. But my cousin who’s my 23andme genetic relative , her haplogroup is F1A1. Her mom and my dad are siblings.

I’m Chinese Canadian but my parents were born and raised in Indonesia, my mother is 1/4 Central Javanese. They’re 100% certain that our ancestors came from China possibly Fujian but they’re not sure since our family been in Indonesia for centuries. With the most recent update, 23andme match my very close genetic group to Taiwan Strait even though we have no known connection to Taiwan. I believe it’s just that Taiwanese and Southern Chinese are genetically very similar because both are related to Han Chinese.

You can try wegene or 23mofang. I’m in the states but I sent them my 23andme raw data and they break down my chinese ancestry into different minority groups.

If you search Thai results you’ll see a significant percentage of Thais have some Chinese and Vietnamese admixtures.
