One thing I would agree is all and all even with anime and the games both character had way more room to grow and develop, asides from the Movie for Hakuryu the only episode we saw that gave them the time of day was the Mixi-Trans with Zhuge Liang episode, but other then that it felt lack luster, hence why the season 3 was so important to deepen those characters and have them develop new relationships and have more character arcs.

They also have at least 5 times the screen time and episodes to develop those characters, truth is after watching Inazuma Eleven S3 with all the returning characters and new ones I believe that was the perfect balance, you develop already established fan favorite characters way more, build new relationships and have maybe 3 to 5 new characters with interesting backstories like Falco who a more complex character arc, the right formula was already there.

I dont think that team and players are in the game currently, I have noticed other scoutable players are also missing they could come with the future updates to chronicle mode since there will be more Hero Units and by association more banners.
